Rotimi Amaechi, a former governor of Rivers State, has claimed that the ongoing dispute between the suspended governor of the oil-rich state, Siminalayi Fubara, and Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, revolves around the distribution of funds. Amaechi made these remarks during an interview with DW on Saturday.

Additionally, the former governor criticized the emergency rule imposed on Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu, labeling it as unconstitutional. He stated, “The conflict between the current Rivers State governor and the FCT minister is centered on money allocation. If it’s not about that, then what’s the real issue? Nigerians seem desensitized to corruption these days. I haven’t seen anyone in the streets demanding answers about the root of this dispute.
