Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has announced his retirement from boxing. In a brief social media post, the 36-year-old British fighter shared, “I’m going to make this short and sweet. I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing. It’s been a blast, I’ve loved every single minute of it.”
Fury’s last fight was in December, where he suffered a defeat in his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh. After the loss, he hinted at the possibility of returning to the ring, stating, “You might do, you might not do. Who knows?”
Fury retires with an impressive record of 34 wins, two losses, and one draw, having held the heavyweight title twice. Despite previously announcing his retirement after defeating Dillian Whyte in April 2022, he made a return later that same year.
