Nick Imudia, former CEO of Nigerian e-commerce giant Konga, reportedly took his own life on Tuesday, June 25.  Imudia, who was 45 years and the CEO of D.light, a prominent residential solar energy solutions company following his exit at Konga from April 2018 to October 2022 , ended his life at his apartment in Lekki, Lagos.

Reports indicate that Imudia jumped from his apartment balcony late Tuesday night. Before the incident, he contacted his brother in the United States, giving instructions on how to distribute his assets in case of his death. He also reached out to his young daughter from a previous relationship, reassuring her that he would always be with her and that she could find him by looking at the sky.

The news indicated that his friends, family, and colleagues are in deep shock, struggling to comprehend the reasons behind his decision. Imudia hailed from Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State and had previously been married to the mother of his daughter, who is from the same local government. The marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences.
