A former governor of Kano State and leader of G-7 faction of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, has revealed what the discussion with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader of the APC, was about.
Inspiration FM had reported how Shekarau, the senator representing Kano Central, visited Tinubu at his Lagos residence, on Sunday.
The visit generated a controversy in the political circle as Tinubu is known to be a strong ally of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje whom Shekarau is battling for the control of Kano APC.
Speaking In an interview with BBC Hausa Service, Shekarau said that it was Tinubu that requested to see him, and he went there after consulting members of the G-7.
On what they discussed, Shekarau said Tinubu wanted to confirm whether there is any feud between him and Ganduje.
On whether they discussed anything that has to do with supporting Tinubu on his 2023 presidential ambition, Shekarau said and I quote,  "there is nothing like supporting him'', end of quote.
When asked if Tinubu promised to take any action regarding the feud in Kano, Shekarau said it is left for him to decide.
