Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has faulted the allegation by Senate President Godswill Akpabio that states got an additional thirty billion naira each to address the current economic situation.
The governor, who reacted to this during the commissioning of the Iseyin Central Mosque, said Oyo State did not get such funds.
He cautioned leaders against passing unverified information to the people, noting that it would only heat the polity.
Makinde added that his government has been doing its best to mitigate the hardship on residents of the state, having been the first to announce and implement relief measures through the Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery (SafER).
