Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana has said the presidency has no power to stop the planned protest by aggrieved Nigerians who are calling for the replacement of the service chiefs.
Falana was responding to a statement by presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu that condemned the planned protest accusing the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party of sponsoring the march.
While responding to a statement credited to a presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Falana said Nigerians have the fundamental right to demonstrate for or against the Federal Government.
He said the statement shows that the presidency is opposed to protests against the government.
Falana said the call for the resignation of the service chiefs is justifiable.
