Ese Brume of Nigeria won silver in the women's long jump at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.
Ese Brume finished second behind German Olympic champion Malaika Mihambo, who won her second World Championship gold in the women's long jump with a final leap of 7.12 meters on Sunday, and ahead of Leticia Oro Melo of Brazil, who won bronze with a jump of 6.89m.
The silver medalist, won with a leap of 7.02m, was an improvement for Brume, who had previously won a bronze medal at the World Championship.
Brume's podium finish came just moments after Tobi Amusan won Nigeria's first World Championship gold medal in the 100m hurdles.
