Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi has garnered a well-deserved nomination for the August Premier League Player of the Month award. His exceptional performances for Nottingham Forest during the month have not gone unnoticed.

The 26-year-old striker exhibited prowess by netting three goals in as many league appearances for the Tricky Trees. He opened the scoring in the season's inaugural game against Arsenal, even though they ultimately fell 2-1.

Awoniyi continued to shine, securing a crucial goal in Nottingham Forest's 2-1 triumph against Sheffield United at home. His scoring spree didn't stop there, as he found the back of the net again in a valiant effort against Manchester United despite Forest's 3-2 loss.
