Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has disclosed that Cole Palmer is a doubt for their upcoming Premier League match against Wolves.
Palmer, who played the full 90 minutes and scored in their recent 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, is currently uncertain to return to training.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Maresca said:
“Cole [Palmer] is a doubt. He didn’t train today, and we’re unsure if he’ll be able to train in the next two days. Levi [Colwill], Romeo [Lavia], and Enzo [Fernandez] also missed today’s session.”
Regarding club captain Reece James, who also found the net against Bournemouth, Maresca emphasized a cautious approach:
“For Reece [James], it’s not just about scoring or minutes played; it’s about managing his fitness. If he plays 45 minutes, it’s a good sign, but we’re being cautious to avoid another injury. We’re supporting him through this phase.”
Chelsea will face Wolves this weekend, with multiple key players’ availability still uncertain.
