This year's Emmy season kicked off on an impressive note going by online reactions since the anticipated list of nominees went live.
The 73rd Primetime Emmy will hold on September 19, 2021.
Ahead of the September ceremony to be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, Ron Cephas Jones and Jasmine Cephas Jones, on Tuesday unveiled this year's nominees.
Some of the biggest contenders for the year include 'The Crown' and 'The Mandalorian' with 24 nominations each. HBO's recently cancelled 'Lovecraft Country' also recorded a whopping 18 nominations.
Netflix's thirst trap series 'Bridgerton' made the nomination list including its first season's lead star, Rege-Jean Page who is up in the Outstanding Lead Actor category. Once again the stream war was between HBO and Netflix with the former leading.
This year's Emmy will reportedly be ditching the virtual ceremony style of last year for a limited live audience of nominees and other attendees.
