Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu, wife of former Deputy Senate President Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has returned to Nigeria.

A reliable source confirmed the development on Wednesday, revealing that she arrived in the country on Tuesday.

Mrs. Ekweremadu, alongside her husband and Dr. Obinna Obeta, was sentenced to prison by a UK court over charges related to organ harvesting. Senator Ekweremadu received a 10-year sentence, while his wife was handed a six-year term.

The news of her return has sparked celebrations across Enugu State, with residents expressing joy and offering prayers for the swift return of Senator Ekweremadu as well.
