Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, has reportedly passed away.
Nearly a year ago, a portion of the High Court building in Ekiti State collapsed on Justice Adeyeye while he was in his office, leading to a prolonged battle with health issues following his discharge from the hospital. Sources indicate that news of his passing is being withheld from the public until an official announcement is made.
The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) in Ekiti has extended its condolences to the Chief Judge’s family. In a message, FIDA expressed deep sorrow, saying, “With deep sorrow in our hearts and in total submission to the will of God, FIDA Ekiti consoles with the family of the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Hon Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, on his call to glory. May he find rest with his maker. We pray that God grants the family, the judiciary, and the people of Ekiti State the grace to bear this irreparable loss. Adieu, great one.”
