Operatives of the Department of State Services and the Police have dispersed protesters who trooped to the streets of Katsina to register their grievances over the spate of killings in the state and other parts country.
The protesters, who wielded placards, had converged on Kofar Soro roundabout, emir’s palace.
Before the arrival of the security operatives, Comrade Bishir Dauda Unguwa, the National Secretary of Muryar Talaka, one of the conveners of the protest, said the protest was to draw the attention of government “to take the right steps towards addressing the degenerating challenge of insecurity in the north and the country as a whole.Â
