Doja Cat has officially surpassed Cardi B to become the second highest-selling female rapper in history. Billboard confirmed this ranking, which highlights global and U.S. sales, with Nicki Minaj maintaining her position as the highest-selling female rapper both domestically and worldwide.
In the U.S., the current ranking for female rappers’ places Nicki Minaj in first place, followed by Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, and Cardi B, who has dropped to fourth. Globally, Cardi B remains in third place behind Nicki Minaj and Doja Cat.
In addition to celebrating Doja Cat's achievement, Billboard also recognized other prominent artists in their rankings of the 21st century's biggest names. Taylor Swift was crowned the biggest artist of the century, while Canadian rapper Drake earned the title of the biggest rapper. Maroon 5 was named the top group of the century, with Destiny’s Child leading the rankings as the biggest girl group.
The rankings are based on performance on Billboard's Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts, showcasing the enduring influence of these artists.
