The singer explained that the title simply marks it as his fifth project. Set for release on April 18th, ‘5ive’ follows the triumph of his “Time Trilogy”, ‘A Good Time’, ‘A Better Time’, and ‘Timeless’. Davido expressed that this album signifies a fresh chapter in his musical journey.

While the title ‘5ive’ appears straightforward, Davido hinted that exploring the symbolism of the number five might uncover deeper meaning. Building excitement for the album, he recently unveiled a new single, ‘Be There Still’, on March 14. The track features a lively Amapiano log drum fusion, seamlessly mixing pidgin and English.
