July 24, 2024 Court Documents Allege Diddy Paid $1M to Have 2Pac Killed

Embattled American music mogul Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, has been implicated in the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.

According to new court documents reported by the U.S. Sun, Diddy is accused of paying $1 million to Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who was arrested last year for Shakur's murder.

The documents, filed on Thursday, July 18, name Diddy 77 times under his various aliases: Puffy, Puff Daddy, Puff, and his legal name, Sean Combs.

"Defendant [Keefe] has asserted publicly that he only told on himself and wasn’t trying to provide evidence against anyone else in his conversations with police. However, this statement belies this claim, as he suggested that Sean Combs paid Eric Von Martin a million dollars for the killings," the documents state.

In one transcript, Davis reportedly testified about Diddy’s involvement in 2Pac’s murder. When police asked, “Puffy Combs… Does he play a role in this thing?” Davis replied, “Yeah, I think he did.” Davis claimed Diddy told him and a group of about 45 people that he “would give anything” for Knight’s “head” because he was “scared” of him and had a problem with Shakur after the rapper released a diss track about him.

Prosecutors filed the documents to oppose Davis’ latest bail request. His $112,500 bail bond was rejected last month over concerns about the source of the money.

It remains unclear if Diddy will be subpoenaed or indicted as part of the case.
