Kamal Adebayo, well known as Sir Kay, was a prominent Yoruba actor and the father of famed comedian Isbae U.
Musiliu Akinsanya, alias MC Oluomo, the Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee, announced his death on Tuesday, December 27, through his Instagram profile.
He wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Alhaji Kamal Adebayo (Sir Kay). May Allah grant him eternal rest. RIP Sir Kay.”
Other Yoruba actors and actresses have expressed their condolences on social media.
In response to the news, actress Yomi Fabiyi claimed in an Instagram post that the death of Sir Kay made him weak.
"O di gba kan naa, Sir K Warrior. Wabili Kabbar. RIP senior man. I am weak," Fabiyi wrote.
As of the time of this report, the comedian has yet to make an official comment about his father’s death.

On May 30, the industry also lost one of its own, Osmond Gbadebo. The report was made by a fellow member of the industry, Fausat Balogun, on her Instagram page.
