Chelsea and PSV Eindhoven have reached an agreement for the winger, and Noni Madueke is getting ready to go to England. With this acquisition, Chelsea will have spent £190 million in this transfer window.
Noni Madueke, a winger for Chelsea, and PSV Eindhoven have reached an agreement in principle for £29 million.
The player arrived in London on Thursday and is scheduled to have a physical on Friday morning, albeit there are still some last-minute technicalities to work out in the transaction.
Before transferring to Tottenham, Madueke began his youth career with Crystal Palace.
He left Spurs for PSV Eindhoven in 2018, becoming a first-team regular for the 2020–21 season, and scored nine goals in 35 appearances the previous year.
Because they had previously sold Cody Gakpo to Liverpool this window, PSV had a notion they wouldn't want to trade him, but Chelsea was reportedly quite eager.
Chelsea will have spent £190 million this transfer window, £270 million in the summer, and £460 million overall since Todd Boehly took over the club.
Madueke will join the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix, Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, and Andrey Santos as Chelsea's sixth acquisition of the January transfer window.
