The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has promised to avoid a recurrence of system breach which allowed double enrolment in certificate racketeering scandal.

An undercover reporter, Audu Umar had detailed how he bagged a four-year degree in under two years and later got mobilised for the NYSC scheme even though he served earlier.

Speaking on the viral report, spokesman of the NYSC Eddy Megwa explained that the reporter used different phone numbers and email addresses to beat the system.

He noted that while the system initially rejected him application, because he had served in the scheme before, he manage to beat the system because he was out for a particular purpose.

He noted that NYSC does not have a database of graduates to serve in the scheme and only rely on the lists sent by the senates of the various universities stating the number of graduates to expect from them.

Megwa said the NYSC is looking at the situation and ensure that it does not happen again.
