EPL: Arsenal Hit with Another Injury Setback Ahead of Nottingham Forest Match

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta may face another selection headache as Leandro Trossard is a doubt for this weekend’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest.

Trossard, who was in action for Belgium on Sunday, was forced off in the 37th minute during their UEFA Nations League match against Israel. The 29-year-old appeared to be in discomfort and was replaced by Johan Bakayoko.

The midfielder was visibly struggling as he left the pitch, raising concerns about his availability for Arsenal. Trossard has been a key figure for the Gunners this season, featuring in 15 matches and scoring twice.

A potential long-term injury would add to Arteta’s woes, as Arsenal have already been grappling with several injuries throughout the campaign. The manager will be hoping for a quick recovery for Trossard as the North London side looks to maintain momentum in their league campaign.

Aiyedatiwa Pledges Improved Services to Ondo Residents Following Victory

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has described his recent victory in the Ondo State governorship election as a renewed mandate to deliver even more for the people of the state.

Aiyedatiwa emerged victorious in the election concluded on Sunday, defeating the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Ajayi Agboola, in what was widely regarded as a peaceful process.

Speaking to reporters after his win, the governor expressed gratitude to Ondo residents and pledged to usher in better days for the state. He highlighted how his campaign had deepened his understanding of the people’s needs.

“Residents should expect improved service delivery,” Aiyedatiwa said. “During my campaign, I visited every local government area, not just the capital cities but the communities themselves. We saw firsthand the state of their roads, their living conditions, and heard their voices. We listened to their concerns and aspirations.”

He reassured the public of his commitment to fulfilling campaign promises. “The people have placed their hope in me, and I will not take that trust lightly. We will deliver on every promise made within the limits of available resources. We believe in doing what we say and not making unrealistic promises.”

Aiyedatiwa’s victory signals a new chapter for Ondo State as he begins another term dedicated to addressing the needs of its residents.

Galatasaray Confirms January Clause in Osimhen Deal

Galatasaray’s technical director, Okan Buruk, has confirmed the presence of a clause in Victor Osimhen’s loan deal from Napoli, which allows the striker to leave for another club during the January transfer window.

Speaking during an interview on the Turkish champions’ official website, Buruk emphasized that Osimhen is committed to staying with Galatasaray until the season ends, despite the clause. He explained, “Osimhen has expressed his desire to remain here for the full season. He said the same thing when he first arrived. While there is a clause for a potential January transfer, the decision ultimately rests with the player, and he has assured us he wants to stay.”

Buruk also reflected on how Galatasaray secured the Nigerian forward, admitting the deal initially seemed unlikely. “We started discussions after a meeting with Mauro Icardi. At first, the idea of signing Osimhen didn’t appear realistic. After our match against Adana Demirspor, we had a video call at the airport, consulted the transfer committee, and got the president’s approval to finalize the deal.”

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on the final day of the summer transfer window after negotiations with Chelsea and Al Ahly fell through. Since his arrival, the 25-year-old has made an impressive impact, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in nine appearances across all competitions.
