Marseille Push for Iheanacho Loan Move from Sevilla

Olympique Marseille are actively pursuing a deal to sign Sevilla striker Kelechi Iheanacho on loan before the winter transfer window closes.

The Nigerian forward, who joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer, has struggled to make an impact at the club and is expected to depart in search of more playing time.

Sevilla is open to letting the former Manchester City star leave, either on loan or through a permanent transfer. The LaLiga side recently bolstered their attack by signing Nigerian forward Jerome Adams from Montpellier.

Reports from France suggest that Iheanacho has multiple offers on the table but is now favoring a move to Marseille. The French club has reportedly initiated talks with Sevilla and the player's representatives to finalize the deal.

The 28-year-old is expected to make a decision on his future before the transfer window closes.

EeZeeTee Fires Back at Mercy Chinwo, Denies Allegations of Career Sabotage

Ezekiel Onyedikachi, popularly known as EeZeeTee and the CEO of EeZee Conceptz, has dismissed allegations made by gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, accusing her of spreading lies and attempting to destroy his record label through emotional blackmail.

In a video shared on multiple platforms, Chinwo claimed that EeZeeTee had threatened to ruin her career and subjected her to servitude during her time under his label.

Responding to the claims, EeZeeTee expressed disappointment, stating that no true child of God would attempt to destroy another with falsehoods.

“It’s heartbreaking that you would go to this extent to tarnish my reputation and the organization. You promised to destroy my credibility—well done. When you’re done, I hope you get a crown in heaven,” he said.

He further questioned the logic behind the accusations, arguing that his label would never sabotage its own investment.

“We don’t stop our artists from attending events because every time you go for a ministration and are blessed, we share in that blessing. Why would we work against ourselves? This narrative doesn’t add up,” he stated.

EeZeeTee emphasized the importance of peace and reconciliation, warning against harboring bitterness and resentment while claiming to do God’s work.

“I was privileged to provide the platform where you found expression. That cannot be discredited. But what does a child of God gain by seeing another fall?” he asked.

He also accused Chinwo of deception, calling her a skilled actress who had perfected the art of emotional manipulation.

“Keep acting, keep crying. People believe you because they pray with your songs, but the truth will always catch up with lies. This is an attack on the body of Christ, and only a foolish person would destroy what God has built.”

EeZeeTee concluded by reaffirming his faith, stating that he would not engage in a battle with someone trying to undermine his work, as he believed God would vindicate him.

The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has launched an investigation into an incident involving a Boeing 737-400 aircraft, registered as 5N-MBD and operated by Max Air.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:48 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA).

In a statement, NSIB’s Director of Public Affairs and Family Assistance, Mrs. Bimbo Oladeji, detailed the events, stating:

“The aircraft, which was flying from Lagos to Kano with 53 passengers and six crew members onboard, landed on runway 06. During the deceleration phase, while still under 60 knots with the thrust reversers engaged, a loud bang was heard, followed by the aircraft veering sharply to the left.

“The flight crew promptly regained control and safely brought the aircraft to a stop. Fortunately, all 53 passengers and crew members disembarked safely, with no injuries reported.”

The NSIB has deployed its GoTeam to the site to determine the root cause of the incident, assessing possible technical, operational, or procedural lapses.

Chaos at PDP Secretariat as Anyanwu, Okoye Supporters Clash During BoT Meeting

Tension erupted at the National Secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja on Wednesday as supporters of Samuel Anyanwu, the embattled National Secretary, clashed with backers of Udeh Okoye, who is also claiming the position. The confrontation took place during the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting.

The meeting, chaired by Adolphus Wabara, was convened to address the leadership dispute that has split the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC) into two factions. Among the prominent attendees were acting National Chairman Umar Damagun, former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu, ex-Kaduna Governor Ahmed Makarfi, and former Jigawa Governor Sule Lamido.

However, tensions boiled over as supporters from both camps engaged in a violent altercation, disrupting the proceedings.

In response to the chaos, security at the PDP headquarters, Wadata Plaza, was intensified. A heavy presence of police officers, Department of State Services (DSS) operatives, soldiers, and personnel from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was observed at the venue to restore order.
