BBNaija Star Frodd and Wife Welcome Their Second Child

BBNaija star Frodd and his wife, Chioma, have welcomed their second child, a baby girl.

The couple, who had their first child just a year ago, shared the joyful news on Instagram. In August, Chioma had hinted at her pregnancy, playfully calling her husband a “sharpshooter” while flaunting her baby bump.

Celebrating the new addition to their family, Frodd posted heartwarming photos and videos with his eldest daughter and the newborn.

Double the love, double the joy—officially a GirlDad times two! My heart is so full! Blessed #DadOfGirls. Hallelujah! @pharmchi__, thank you, baby,” he wrote.

Many Feared Trapped as Two-Storey Building Collapses in Anambra

A two-storey building under construction collapsed on Wednesday evening in Awka, the capital of Anambra State, leaving many people trapped.

The structure, located along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, caved in while workers were still on-site.

Eyewitness Charles Umeh reported seeing about five men working on the roof before the collapse but was unsure how many were trapped. Another witness confirmed that the project engineer, identified as Stanley, was among those caught in the debris but was later rescued.

Anambra State Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident on Thursday morning, stating that officers led by the divisional police officer of the Central Police Station in Awka had been deployed to the scene.

“So far, we have rescued two workers, and they have been taken to the hospital. No lives have been lost, and the victims are responding to treatment,” he said.

The police have invited the site engineer and the building owner for questioning as investigations continue. Attempts to reach the executive secretary of the Anambra State Emergency Agency, Paul Odenigbo, for comments were unsuccessful.

Five farmers have reportedly been killed by suspected herdsmen in the Ajegunle Powerline community of Akure North Local Government Area, Ondo State.

The victims, identified as laborers from Plateau and Kaduna states, were said to be working on farmlands when the attack occurred around 3:00 pm on Tuesday.

An eyewitness recounted that the assailants had been destroying crops and disrupting farming activities in the community. He added that such attacks had become frequent, forcing many farmers to abandon their lands for fear of being killed.

“These attacks happen almost every day. Many farmers have been killed, and women are sometimes raped. Our lives are in danger,” he lamented.

A survivor of the attack said the gunmen appeared suddenly and began shooting indiscriminately, killing five people.

Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident but stated that the exact number of casualties was still being investigated.

Transfer Update: Bayer Leverkusen Chief Confirms Boniface Won’t Join Al Nassr

Bayer Leverkusen Managing Director Simon Rolfes has confirmed that Victor Boniface will not be joining Saudi club Al Nassr.

Boniface was close to sealing a lucrative move to Al Nassr after the Saudi club reached an agreement with Leverkusen for his transfer. The Nigerian international had also agreed on personal terms with Stefano Pioli’s side.

However, Al Nassr ultimately pulled out of the deal, choosing instead to sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran.

Rolfes expressed his satisfaction that Boniface will remain at Leverkusen. “There have been talks, but we are happy that he will be training with us today. I assume that he will stay,” he said. “He feels comfortable here, and his attitude towards the club remains unchanged.”
