As parts of measures to curtail spread of COVID-19 in the country, it has now become an offence for anyone not to wear a face masks in public places.

This is because the Coronavirus Disease Health Protection 2021 has been signed by President BUHARI which made the use of face masks in public places mandatory.

Also at all gatherings henceforth, a physical distance of at least two metres shall be maintained at all times between persons.

The Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, BOSS MUSTAPHA, told journalists in Abuja that the President signed the document on Tuesday.

MUSTAPHA, said the President signed the document in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 4 of the Quarantine Act, Cap. Q2, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2010.

A fine or six months imprisonment awaits violators of the regulations.

However, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, PAUL ANANABA said he doubts the capability of the country to enforce the regulations.

Messi Fires Barcelona To Come-Back Victory In Copa Del Rey

Lionel Messi inspired a Barcelona fightback on his return from suspension as they beat Rayo Vallecano to reach the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.

Rayo, who are fourth in the Spanish second tier, took a shock lead when Fran Garcia tapped in a loose ball.

Barca hit back six minutes later when Messi, back from a two-game ban after his first red card for the club, slotted in Antoine Griezmann's pass.

Frenkie de Jong's composed close-range finish ensured Barca avoided a shock.

Barca captain Messi was also the architect for the winner, releasing substitute Jordi Alba down the left to provide a low cross that was met by De Jong's perfectly timed run.

The Catalan club have won the Copa del Rey on a record 30 occasions and the competition looks to be their best chance to claim a trophy in Ronald Koeman's first season as manager.

The Dutchman admitted as much going to the tie, with his side 10 points adrift of La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid and not considered among the favorites for the Champions League - especially as they face French champions Paris St-Germain in the last 16.

Tuchel Begins Chelsea Reign With Draw Against Wolves

Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea reign got off to a frustrating start as Wolves secured a point in a drab stalemate at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel, appointed boss on Tuesday following the sacking of Frank Lampard, took his place in the dugout after conducting one training session with his new team.

But the German was given an indication of the huge challenge facing him as Chelsea struggled to carve out chances against a Wolves side short of confidence and without a top-flight win since 15 December.

Rui Patricio produced good saves to keep out Antonio Rudiger's header and Callum Hudson-Odoi's deflected attempt, while Chelsea's 433 successful passes were the most by a Tuchel team in the first half of a top-flight game since May 2016.

Ben Chilwell sent a rare chance over the bar but Wolves, who hit the bar through Pedro Neto and gave a debut to striker Willian Jose, were good value for their point.

Joke Silva Admits She Was Shattered After She Accidentally Discovered She Was An Adopted Child

Silva is the daughter of the late Dr Abimbola Silva, the first Nigerian female medical doctor.

Nollywood actress Joke Silva has spoken about how she received the news after she accidentally found out that she was adopted.

The Nollywood veteran made this known during a chat with broadcaster, Funmi Iyanda at her show 'Public Eye.'

'It something like where one is just getting to share it in the public. It is something that I found out when I was much younger. Mine was a secret adoption," she said.

"When I mean secret it was legal but it was not something that my parents discussed. My mum's elder sister wanted me to travel with her to Kenya and my mother was not around. She asked If I knew where my passport was and I was like yes yes yes, I know where mum keeps all the important documents."

"Then I go to the important suitcase that has all the important documents, where I found my passport but also found my adoption certificate. It was like 'I beg your pardon."

When asked at what age she found out, Silva said she was about 10 or 11. According to her, it was shattering to find out at that age.

"You know how sensitive you are as a child in the sense that there was just something and you'd be like if this is something they wanted to discuss with you, they would have discussed with you," she said.

"So after the years, we got to the point where we could discuss about it, especially myself and my mum. What was interesting was the fact that she found it easier to discuss it with my older son than she did with me."

The movie star went to reveal that she finally had the conversation with her mum after someone confronted her about being her biological daughter.

This is not the first time Silva will be talking about her adoption story.

The Nollywood veteran first talked about it during the Annual Conference of Heritage Adoption Support and Advocacy Group (HASAAG) in Lagos, where she was a guest speaker.

The veteran actress shocked many people when she revealed that she was not the biological child of Chief E.A Silva who was the then Babajiro of Lagos and his late wife, Dr Abimbola Silva, reputed to be Nigeria’s first female medical doctor.
