Boxer Josh Taylor Relishes The Chance To Someday Face Idol, Pacquaio

Josh Taylor's ultimate dream would be to take on his idol Manny Pacquaio, who he fondly calls a "gentleman" and "ferocious".

Taylor is on the verge of history - he will face fellow undefeated world champion Jose Ramirez on May 22 for the undisputed super-lightweight title.

Victory would even mean Taylor pips Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury to undisputed glory, if their heavyweight mega-fight can be finalized, but the 'Tartan Tornado' has bigger goals to accomplish too.

Pacquiao, 42, is a legendary eight-division world champion currently regarded as the WBA welterweight 'champion in recess'.

IBF and WBA champion Taylor must first edge WBC and WBO titleholder Ramirez in one of the whole sport's most anticipated fights.

They are both champions in their prime from opposite sides of the Atlantic with a combined record of 43 unbeaten fights.

They have also both already defeated other previously-unbeaten champions in unification fights - Taylor beat Regis Prograis and Ramirez ousted Maurice Hooker.

CAF Cancels 2021 U-17 African Cup Of Nations

The Confederation of African Football has cancelled the 2021 U-17 African Cup Of Nations billed to kick-off on Friday in Rabat, Morocco.

There has been no official reason given by CAF for the cancellation, but reports claimed that the tournament was cancelled as a result of the closure of the Moroccan airspace until March 21, due to COVID-19.

The Golden Eaglets, who finished second at the U-17 WAFU tournament, were scheduled to depart the country on Tuesday for Morocco.

Algeria’s U-17 national team was expected to arrive in Morocco on Saturday but they are yet to be granted entry visa into Morocco.

Senegal, Ivory Coast, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia are the only countries who have reportedly arrived in the North African country for the tournament.

West Ham Continue Resurgence With Win Over Leeds

David Moyes' side climbed to fifth in the Premier League - two points behind Chelsea, who beat Everton 2-0 earlier on Monday - and have a game in hand on their London rivals.

Jesse Lingard sparked West Ham into life at London Stadium when his menacing run into the penalty area drew a foul from Luke Ayling. Lingard, on loan from Manchester United, converted the rebound after his spot-kick was saved by Illan Meslier.

Leeds had found the net twice in a blistering opening spell, but Tyler Roberts' finish was ruled out for a marginal offside against Helder Costa, and Raphinha ran the ball out of play before crossing to Patrick Bamford.

But they were two goals down before half-time when the unmarked Craig Dawson headed in Aaron Cresswell's corner.

Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds went close to a response five minutes after the restart when Raphinha's sensational overhead attempt was tipped over by Lukasz Fabianski, while Bamford blazed over from Raphinha's cut-back and Dawson cleared off the line as Leeds chased a late lifeline.

Leeds will host Chelsea on Saturday at 12:30 GMT, while West Ham travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Sunday at 19:15.

Elon Musk Loses $27billion In Just One Week And Falls Behind Jeff Bezos To Become The World’s Second-Richest Man

Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk has lost $27 billion in wealth in the space of one week amid a selloff in the company's stock.

Musk, 49, was worth $157 billion after markets closed on Friday, marking a 15 percent plunge in his net worth from the beginning of the week, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

He is now firmly in the No. 2 spot and $20 billion CEO Jeff Bezos, after vying for months with Jeff Bezos for the title of world's richest man

This comes after a reported rapid selloff in the tech sector, with Tesla shares hit harder than most and falling nearly a third from their all-time peak in January.

Tech shares soared more than the rest of the market for much of the pandemic. But on Friday, the company's shares dropped as much as 13% before closing down 3.8% at $597.95, the lowest since Dec. 3. The stock lost 11% of its value just this week, extending its losing streak to four weeks, the longest since May 2019.
