Paul Pogba unhappy at Man Utd – Agent Mino Raiola

Paul Pogba is unhappy at Manchester United and has to leave the club in the summer transfer window, according to his agent Mino Raiola.

Pogba, whose contract is due to expire in the summer of 2022, has only started five Premier League games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season after recovering from Covid-19.

He scored his first league goal of the season in United’s 3-1 comeback win over West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday.

However, the France midfielder’s agent says he “needs a change of scenery” and Manchester United should consider offloading him or face the prospect of losing him on a free transfer because he has no intention of extending his current deal.

Speaking to Tuttosport, Raiola said: “There’s no point beating about the bush. It’s better to speak out clearly, look forward and avoid wasting time to find culprits.

“Paul is unhappy at Man Utd, he can’t manage to express himself like he wants to and like people expect him to.

“He needs to change team, he needs a change of scenery. He has a contract that will expire in a year and a half, in the summer of 2022, but the best solution for all parties is a transfer in the next (summer) window.

“Otherwise the Old Trafford club, which I have a great relationship with, knows well that they would risk losing him on a free transfer, given that at the moment it’s not the player’s intention to extend the contract.

“If anybody can’t understand this, then they know little or nothing about football. Anyway, they’re free to direct all the blame to myself if Paul were to leave next summer.”Pogba, who rejoined United from Juventus for £89m in 2016, revealed in October his desire to play for La Liga giants Real Madrid

Breaking earns 2024 Olympic inclusion

Breaking – a competitive form of breakdancing – has been confirmed as part of the final line-up for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

It will join surfing, skateboarding and climbing, which will be retained after debuts at the delayed Tokyo Games in 2021.

However, parkour will not be part of the 2024 event after missing out.

The street sport typically involves running, jumping and climbing over obstacles.

Squash campaigned unsuccessfully for inclusion in the Paris Games, as did billiard sports and chess.

Breaking blends artistry and athleticism with key elements including top rocks – typically a competitor’s introductory dance moves -footwork, power moves and freezes.

Power moves are explosive displays such as spins, while freezes are when a performer sticks a pose.

Competitors – known as b-boys and b-girls – are not only judged on technical skill but also creativity and style, with strength, speed, rhythm and agility all considered.

Last year, the Paris 2024 organising committee had proposed breaking, surfing, skateboarding and climbing for inclusion and were waiting for a final review by the executive board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The IOC has insisted that new events would only be included if they used existing Paris 2024 venues, and priority would be given to those with youth appeal or that would help achieve gender equality

14 new positive Coronavirus cases in latest Premier League testing

The Premier League has confirmed 14 positive coronavirus tests among players and staff in its latest round of testing.

The figure, taken after 1,483 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19, is an increase of four from last week’s results.

Players or club staff who have tested positive will self-isolate for a period of 10 days.

Newcastle United’s training ground remains closed following last week’s outbreak of coronavirus within the first-team squad.

Saturday’s home match against West Brom will be in serious doubt unless a significant number can get back to the training ground and prepare as a group this week.

The fact that Newcastle were unable to train as a group ahead of last Friday’s planned trip to Aston Villa was one of the key reasons as to why that match was postponed.

It was the first Premier League match to be postponed as a result of coronavirus since Project Restart.

Soccer: AC Milan beat Sampdoria to go five points clear in serie A

AC Milan moved five points clear at the top of Serie A with victory over Sampdoria as they maintained their unbeaten run in the league this season.

Franck Kessie scored from the spot in the first half after Sampdoria’s Jakub Jankto was judged to have handballed Theo Hernandez’s header.

Substitute Samu Castillejo made it 2-0 to Milan with his first touch in the 77th minute.

Sampdoria’s Albin Ekdal got one back for the hosts from a corner late on.

Milan’s eighth victory of the season means they extended their run of matches unbeaten to 10 – their longest run from the beginning of a Serie A campaign since 2003-04 under Carlo Ancelotti.

Inter Milan are second behind Stefano Pioli’s side – who have not won Serie A since 2010-11 – with Napoli and Juventus a point further back.
