Pogba Strike Sends Man U Top Of EPL

Manchester United have moved to the top of the English Premier League table after defeating Burnley away from home, Tuesday night.

United dominated a contest in which Burnley failed to register a single shot on target until stoppage time.

PAUL POGBA's second-half volley was enough to give Manchester United victory at Burnley and send them three points clear at the top of the Premier League for the first time since 2013.

Manchester United will now face a stern task as they prepare for a top-of-the-table clash with Liverpool at Anfield (16:30 GMT) on Sunday.

NBA MVP Antetokounmpo Helps Bucks Defeat Mavericks

Milwaukee star GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO shook off foul trouble to score 13 of his 22 points in the second half Monday as the Bucks pulled away for a 121-99 NBA victory over the Magic in Orlando.

ANTETOKOUNMPO, the two-time defending NBA Most Valuable Player, showed no sign of the back spasms that forced him out of the Bucks win over Cleveland on Saturday, adding six rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots.

KHRIS MIDDLETON scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and BOBBY PORTIS chipped in 20 points off the bench as the Bucks notched their fifth win in six games.

Orlando's NIKOLA VUCEVIC led all scorers with 28 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn't enough in the first meeting between the teams since Milwaukee ousted Orlando in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs in August.

Orlando forward AARON GORDON threw down a dunk over ANTETOKOUNMPO early in the fourth to pull the Magic within 88-86.

ANTETOKOUNMPO responded with a three-pointer and assisted on PORTIS's shot from beyond the arc as the Bucks rebuilt their lead.

AFTER GORDON's dunk, the Bucks scored 22 of the next 24 points as they put the game out of reach for the Orlando Magic, further moving them to second, behind the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference.

Cardiff City And Ivory Coast Defender Being Treated For Cancer

Cardiff City have announced, defender SOL BAMBA is being treated for cancer.

The 35-year-old Ivory Coast international has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and is undergoing chemotherapy.

"Sol has begun his battle in typically positive spirits and will continue to be an integral part of the Bluebirds family," said the club.

BAMBA joined Cardiff in October 2016 under former manager Neil Warnock.

The National Health Service Wales describes the illness as "a type of cancer that develops in the lymphatic system, a network of vessels and glands spread throughout your body.

BAMBA helped Cardiff win promotion to the Premier League in 2018 and has made more than 100 appearances for the club.

The former Paris St Germain player has been a hugely popular member of the squad, though this season he has been restricted to five Championship substitute appearances and one League Cup start.

NFL Coach Belichick Rejects President Medal Of Freedom

NFL coach BILL BELICHICK says he will not accept President DONALD TRUMP's offer of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, citing the US Capitol riot.

BELICHICK, of the New England Patriots, said he was flattered when he was first offered the medal - the top award given to civilians in the US.

But he said he changed his mind after a mob of TRUMP supporters stormed Congress last week where five people died in the ensuing chaos.

BELICHICK, who has won a record six Super Bowl titles, is considered one of the most successful coaches in NFL history.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to "the security or national interests of America".
