Wilshere Scores In First Start For Bournemouth

Jack Wilshere says he "forgot how to celebrate" after scoring in Bournemouth's FA Cup fourth-round victory over Crawley.

Wilshere, starting for the first time in his second spell at the club, curled in the opener from 20 yards after collecting Joshua King's backheel.

But the midfielder's celebration was muted despite it being his first goal since 27 August 2019.

"I was a bit shocked. I probably should have had a couple more," Wilshere said.

"Last time I was here, I didn't score and it didn't sit well with me. I forgot how to celebrate."

League Two Crawley, who caused a shock by beating Leeds in the third round, were briefly level via Tom Nichols' close-range finish but King's placed effort was enough to see the hosts through.

The Cherries now travel to Burnley in the fifth round on Wednesday, 10 February.

Arterta Dedicates Arsenal Win To Absent Aubameyang

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta dedicated his side's Premier League win over Southampton to absent captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who missed the game for personal reasons.

The Gunners made light of their star striker's absence as they continued their excellent run of league form by coming from behind to beat the Saints in an eventful game.

After Alexandre Lacazette missed a glorious chance to give the Gunners a first-minute lead, Stuart Armstrong put Southampton ahead from a wonderful delivery by captain James Ward-Prowse.

But the lead lasted just five minutes, as Nicolas Pepe equalized with a neat finish, before both sides created clear chances.

England winger Bukayo Saka put the Gunners ahead after going past keeper Alex McCarthy, who had come rushing out of his penalty area, before the 19-year-old picked out Lacazette to seal the points, the Frenchman appearing to send a message of support to Aubameyang in the process.

Arteta's team are finally producing results, with a fifth win in six league games easing the pain of Saturday's FA Cup exit, while building further momentum before Saturday's intriguing home game with high-flying Manchester United.

Lebron James Becomes Oldest Laker Player Kobe Bryant

LEBRON JAMES became the oldest LA Lakers player to score 40 points in a single game since KOBE BRYANT's farewell appearance in 2016 as the Lakers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 115-108.

The 36-year-old, playing on the eve of the first anniversary of BRYANT's death, finished on a season high 46 points, which was his second-highest total as a Laker and the most against his first NBA team.

JAMES, playing for the second time in Cleveland since he switched to the Lakers in 2018, scored 13 points in the final four minutes and also added eight rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks in the game.

The performance helped the Lakers pull away and claim a 10th win out of 10 on the road this season. They play next in Philadelphia, Bryant's birthplace, on Wednesday in what will be an emotional occasion..

I Am Not Tired Insists Man Utd’s Fernandes

Manchester United's FA Cup fourth-round match-winner Bruno Fernandes has dismissed the notion he needs a rest.

It is less than 12 months since Fernandes joined United from Sporting Lisbon and his £47m transfer has turned the side's form on its head.

From being a team that was struggling just to qualify for the Champions League, United are now top of the Premier League.

"Tired? At 26 years of age, I can't be tired," said Fernandes.

"If I am tired now, when I get to 30 or 32, I won't be able to play or I will play one game out of every five. No, I am not tired."

United beat Liverpool in the FA Cup thanks to Fernandes' late free-kick on Sunday.

Last week, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the notion Fernandes needed a rest was wrong - and he is supported in that assessment by the player himself.

Fernandes' winner earned United a fifth-round tie with West Ham.
