“Terrorism may persist for another 20 Years” Chief of army staff, Lt. Gen. Buratai, come under attack for saying

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. TUKUR BURATAI, has come under attack for saying terrorism may persist for another 20 years in the country.

A former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator SHEHU SANI has lambasted TUKUR BURATAI for the comment.

The army chief had made the statement just days after over 43 rice farmers were killed by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.

Reacting, the former lawmaker, who tweeted on his verified Twitter handle, said the statement by BURATAI showed the ‘bankruptcy of new ideas and strategies’ to win the insurgency war.

SHEHU SANI wondered why BURATAI could say to Nigerians that the insurgencies will last twenty more years after repeatedly misleading claims of victories against the insurgents.
