Reason Why Buhari Was Absent At The Burial Of Late Chief Of Army Staff And Other Military Personnel Killed In A Plane Crash

The Presidency has been given explanation why President BUHARI was absent at the burial of late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General IBRAHIM ATTAHIRU and other military personnel killed in a plane crash.

You will recall that ATTAHIRU and 10 officers on an official trip to Kaduna state died in a plane crash on Friday and were buried on Saturday in Abuja.

However, President BUHARI failed to attend but sent a delegation led by the Chief of Defense Staff, General LUCKY IRABOR.

His absence attracted a lot of criticisms from Nigerians.

But speaking in an interview, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity GARBA SHEHU may have not attended the burial to avoid closing of roads that could infringe on the rights of Nigerians.
