DSS Spokesman: We Did Not Disperse Doctors At Saudi Arabia’s Recruitment Exercise In Abuja

The Department of State Services (DSS), has said that its operatives did not disperse medical doctors who had gathered for a Saudi Arabia organised job recruitment exercise yesterday at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

According to a statement made available to Inspiration FM News, titled, "DSS DID NOT DISPERSE DOCTORS AT SHERATON HOTEL, ABUJA, the Public Relations Officer of the nation's secret police, Dr. Peter Afunanya, said, "the attention of the Department of State Services has once again been drawn to a report circulated in the media that it dispersed doctors attending a Saudi Arabia organised job interview at the Sheraton Hotel, Abuja, yesterday
26th August, 2021.

"Sections of the media that reported it did not care to verify the news before going to print. No further evidence was also adduced to prove that the DSS carried out such operation at the hotel", added the DSS spokesman

In the face of a police probe into his alleged involvement in a $1.1m Internet scam allegedly carried out by a Nigerian UAE based Instagram influencer, Abbas Ramon, also known as Hushpuppi and four others, suspended former Head of the Intelligence Response Team, DCP Abba Kyari today returned to social media after a three-week break

Following the outrage against his Facebook post on August 4, 2021, Kyari had deleted the post and disappeared from the Blueville.

However, the indigene of Borno State indigene took to his verified Facebook page, that has no fewer than 450,000 followers

Kyari shared a 21-second hilarious TikTok video posted by one Sanda Tobacco wherein a cart pusher was recorded showing some roller skating skills while the videographer laughingly said the cart pusher “is very crazy wallahi!”.

Inspiration FM News recalls that a Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent, Andrew Innocenti, in a document titled, ‘Criminal Complaint By Telephone Or Other Reliable Electronic Means’ filed before the United States District Court for the Central District of California, had alleged that Hushpuppi contracted the services of Kyari, also called super cop, after a “co-conspirator,” Chibuzo Vincent allegedly threatened to expose the alleged $1.1m fraud perpetuated against a Qatari businessman.

In his statement, Innocenti, alleged that the Hushpuppi paid the police officer N8m or $20,600 for the arrest and detention of Vincent.

Kyari subsequently took to Facebook on July 29, 2021, to detail his denial against the allegations but he did a u-turn, by deleting the post after series of editing and changes to the narrative.

An explosion was reported outside the Hamid Karzai International Airport on Thursday, according to two US officials.

One official said there are injuries among Afghans, but there is no information yet on any US casualties.

Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby confirmed there was an explosion outside of the airport. "We can confirm an explosion outside Kabul airport. Casualties are unclear at this time. We will provide additional details when we can," he said in a tweet.

Angry Youths Dumps Over 20 Corpses At Government House

Irked by the incessant killings by bandits and unknown killer’s herdsmen, some angry youths from Plateau State have taken their protests to the Government House in Jos, where they deposited the corpses of their slain kinsmen. 

The youths were protesting the killing of 36 persons in an attack on the Yelwa Zangam community in the Jos North Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday.

There was tension in the local government following the attack as youths berated the state government for failing to protect the residents.

The development has forced the state government to re-impose a 24-hour curfew on Jos North Local Government Area.
