Femi Fani-Kayode Says Oyo, Bauchi, Enugu Governors Will Soon Defect To APC

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said the likelihood of the governors of Bauchi, Enugu and Oyo States dumping the People Democratic Party and joining him in the All-Progressives Congress was higher than them staying with the main opposition party.

Fani-Kayode, who dropped this hint while responding to a reporter's question after being presented to President Muhammadu Buhari by Chairman, Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee of APC, Governor Mai Mala Buni, at the Presidential Villa, said, “Now, if you don’t mind me mentioning names, somebody like the governor of Enugu State, the governor of Oyo State, and of course, my good friend, the governor of Bauchi State, great friends of mine, and I sincerely hope that they too may end up coming in this direction".

The former PDP stalwart explained that his decision was inspired by God and the positive changes he has noticed in APC

FG To Spend $4.9bn Fresh Loans On Kano-Niger Republic Rail Line, Lagos-Ibadan Railway, Others

Fresh facts have emerged that the President Muhammad Buhari-led Federal Government plans to spend part of the $4.9bn fresh loans it is seeking the approval of the National Assembly on s standard gauge rail being planned from Kano State in Nigeria to Maradi in Niger Republic and Lagos-Ibadan railway.

Inspiration FM recalls that President' Buhari had asked the National Assembly to approve fresh external loans of $4.054bn and €710m ($839m) for his regime and craved the approval of the legislature for grant components of $125m in the 2018-2020 external rolling borrowing plan.

According to the breakdown of some of the key projects, the $190,255,276 to be provided by European ECA/KfW/IPEX/APC will be spent on the Nigeria to Niger Republic rail line.

The document gave the project title as “Kano-Maradi SGR with branch to Dutse” and identified the implementing MDA as the Federal Ministry of Transportation.

And the $225,120,000 to be provided by China Exim Bank is expected to be expended on the Lagos-Ibadan Railway Modernization Project.

The $50,000,000 to be provided by IFAD will be spent on what the government tagged Value Chain Development Programme -Additional Financing I1 and It identified the implementing states as Anambra, Benue, Ebonyi, Niger, Ogun, Taraba, Nasarawa, Enugu and Kogi while the geo-political zones were listed as North Central, North East, South West and South East.

The targeted impact, according to the government, is and I quote, “to support a measurable increase in the programme’s outreach to 100,000 farmers, including over 6,000 and 3,000 processors and traders respectively.

EFCC Chairman, Bawa Back At His Desk After Receiving Medical Attention

Economic and Financial  Crimes Commission (EFCC), has said. its Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has received medical attention and since returned to his desk after slumping while presenting an address and was rushed out of the banquet hall at the presidential villa on Thursday.

EFCC Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, whi made this known in a statement titled, ‘Bawa Is Hale and Hearty – EFCC$, said, “The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa is hale and hearty. This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat.

“He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk.”

Inspiration FM had earlier reported that Bawa slumped while delivering a goodwill message at the event.

He had suddenly stopped speaking and asked to be excused.

“Please, excuse me, I can’t continue,” he had said before he walked off the stage and slumped on his chair

Just In: EFCC Chairman Abdulrasheed Bawa Slumps In Abuja

Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has slumped during a programme at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The incident occurred  when Bawa was giving a goodwill speech at the National Identity Day celebration.

The EFCC top man suddenly stopped talking, staggered and later  went down.

Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Pantami, and other top personalities quickly  held him to forestall any tragic occurrence.

He was subsequently moved  out of the hall.
