Family members of Mr. Jephthah Robert Yekorogha, the abducted cousin to former President Goodluck Jonathan, have made a passionate appeal to the kidnappers to release their brother unconditionally.
Yekorogha was kidnapped Monday in front of his house in Yenagoa, the state capital while returning home.
His younger brother, Aziboala Robert, in a statement, said the case was receiving utmost attention from the security agencies.
He said, “Our elder brother, Mr. Jephthah Robert Yekorogha, was kidnapped at about 8:40pm on Monday, 24th January 2022, in front of his house gate at Biogbolo, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, by four gunmen in black uniform, who, at gunpoint, seized him in his car and forced him into their vehicle and zoomed off.
Spokesman of the Bayelsa State Command, SP Asinim Butswat, said security agents were working to rescue the abductee unhurt.
