News: Trump talks about acquiring new Air Force One planes, saying, “I’m not happy with Boeing.”

U.S. President Donald Trump has voiced his dissatisfaction with Boeing for failing to fulfill its obligations under the contract to construct two new Air Force One aircraft on time.

Trump said that Boeing’s production of the two Air Force One planes is behind schedule.

Speaking from one of the presidential aircraft in service at the moment, Trump added that he is searching for other options because of Boeing’s hold-up.

“No, I’m not happy with Boeing,” Trump stated. We awarded that contract to Air Force One a long time ago, but they take a long time to complete it.

“We might get or purchase a plane, or something.”

Trump responded, “No, I would not consider Airbus over Boeing, but I could buy one that was used and convert it,” when asked if he would consider purchasing from Airbus, Boeing’s rival.

During Trump’s first term in office, the deal for two upgraded versions of the presidential plane—based on the contemporary Boeing 747-8—was negotiated.

Trump visited a 13-year-old Boeing 747-800 parked at Palm Beach International Airport a few days ago. The aircraft had belonged to the Qatari royal family.

Boeing has delayed the delivery of its new aircraft, which was originally scheduled for 2024, to 2027 or 2028.

February 20, 2025 Pope Francis ate breakfast and slept soundly after being diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs.

Pope Francis ate breakfast and slept soundly after being diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs.

Following his diagnosis of pneumonia in both lungs, Pope Francis, a Catholic, reportedly slept well and ate breakfast on Wednesday morning, according to the Vatican.

Francis spent a calm fifth night in Gemelli Hospital in Rome, according to Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni.

According to him, the Pope is still in a good mood and appreciates the prayers for his healing.

Bruni revealed this to Fox News, saying: “He woke up and had breakfast after having a peaceful night.”

The Vatican said on Tuesday that Francis, who suffered pneumonia in both lungs as a child, had had the upper lobe of his right lung removed.

According to the report, the Pope’s clinical state, chest X-ray, and laboratory results “continue to present a complex picture.”

According to the Vatican, the use of antibiotic cortisone therapy to treat the polymicrobial infection that developed on a picture of bronchiectasis and asthmatiform bronchitis complicates the therapeutic treatment.

“The Holy Father’s chest CT scan this afternoon revealed the onset of bilateral pneumonia, necessitating additional pharmacological treatment.”

After a week of worsening bronchitis, Francis was brought to the hospital on Friday in “fair” condition.

The hospital diagnosed him with a polymicrobial respiratory tract infection on Monday, meaning that his respiratory tract was colonized by a combination of bacteria, viruses, and potentially other organisms.

Banditry will not exist in Katsina, the Army Chief promises.

As the Nigerian Army steps up its efforts to combat criminal groups in the area, Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, the Chief of Army Staff, has promised that Katsina State will soon be free of banditry.

Oluyede made this pledge on Wednesday during his maiden operational visit to the 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army at the Natsinta Barracks in Katsina.

After meeting with commanders behind closed doors, he told reporters that the purpose of his visit was to evaluate the brigade’s activities and resolve any issues impeding their efficacy.

“The main goal of my operational visit to Katsina State 17 Brigade is to evaluate the brigade’s operational activities, examine their difficulties, and determine how quickly I can resolve them so that they can perform the task we have given them to do exceptionally well,” he said.

The Army Chief praised the brigade’s efforts to combat instability and ordered them to further up their efforts to eradicate bandits from the state entirely.

I’m sure you’ll concur that the brigade has been performing admirably. In order to eradicate all of these outlaws from the state and make it a safer place for us to live, I have come to exhort and charge them to do more,” he stated.

Oluyede reiterated the army’s dedication to bringing Katsina’s security back, emphasizing that their goal is to make sure that banditry is totally eradicated from the state.

Since the goal is to completely eradicate the bandits from the state, he continued, “we have recorded a number of successes, which is why I’m here to charge them to do more.”

The Army Chief also emphasized the significance of his troops’ role in protecting lives and property and asked them to stay committed to their mission of safeguarding the country.

Oluyede underlined that since eradicating bandits from the area is in line with the soldiers’ primary role of protecting Nigeria, it is their fundamental obligation.

He emphasized that maintaining security will make the public’s surroundings safer, free up government resources for development, and eventually enhance Nigerians’ quality of life.
