I’m Just Doing My Job — Onana

Manchester United's goalkeeper, Andre Onana, isn't one to revel in praise, even after his spectacular late penalty save secured maximum points for the Red Devils in their Champions League clash against Copenhagen.

Despite his immense scrutiny since joining Manchester United this summer, the 27-year-old Cameroon international has remained steadfast in his commitment. He's endured his fair share of criticism this season for the goals conceded while guarding the Ten Hag-led defence.

The previous Champions League game witnessed a similar scenario: he took partial responsibility for his team's loss to the Bundesliga Champions. However, it seems that the former Inter shot-stopper is finding his form. His heroic late saves against Jordan Larson ensured that Harry Maguire's 72nd-minute header was the match-winning contribution.

Post-match, Andre Onana downplayed his role, stating, "I'm just doing my job; the most important thing is to win against a tough team. I am happy about the victory; we had a good game and a big goal from Harry [Maguire]. We are Manchester United. We are a big club with big players. It's just a matter of time; we must continue like this. I have no doubt we will make it."

His focus remains firmly on the team's success, reinforcing his dedication to Manchester United's cause.

October 24, 2023 Jadon Sancho Manchester United Career Is 90 Percent Over

Jadon Sancho Manchester United Career Is 90 Percent Over

Jadon Sancho is reportedly expected to leave Manchester United in January, with the winger's career at the club considered to be '90 percent over'.

Sancho has been training on his own at the academy facilities since the beginning of October after Erik ten Hag exiled him for publicly branding the United manager a liar over his reasons for dropping him for the 3-1 away defeat by Arsenal.

The 23-year-old winger works alone at Carrington, where he is forbidden to mix or eat with his team-mates.

It is understood that the player can come in from the cold if he says sorry to Ten Hag, but only if the apology is sincere.

So far, Sancho has refused to give his manager the apology he wants and is showing no signs of backing down despite the appeals from senior club figures and his team-mates.

According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United officials believe Sancho has to find a new club in January.

The club reportedly knows that a permanent deal is unlikely to be struck in January for the winger, who cost the club £73m in the summer of 2021, with a loan deal considered a more likely prospect.

I think they [United] know at the moment that it’s not going to be a permanent transfer; that could be a loan deal with a buy option included,' Romano said.

'So, in January, they will be open to any opportunity, of course.

'Of course, they would prefer a permanent transfer; that would be perfect to have their money back after what they spent on Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

'At the moment, the people from Manchester United are very clear; it looks like it’s 90 per cent over between Jadon Sancho and Man United.

'We keep a 10 per cent because we know that anything can happen in football, but as of today, it reminds us of the situation with Cristiano Ronaldo one year ago.

'The feeling is that Jadon has to find a new club in the January transfer window.'

Manchester United were prepared to accept £45m for Sancho in the summer.

United are prepared to take a significant loss on Sancho if it means supporting Ten Hag, who was brought in to improve discipline, which had lapsed under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

After six-and-a-half weeks of training on his own, there is a growing feeling that even if he were to apologise now, Ten Hag would see it as empty and unacceptable.

One of the core tenets of Ten Hag's Old Trafford reign has been firm authority, and he did not shy away from banishing Cristiano Ronaldo after he refused to come on against Tottenham and left the stadium early in October 2022.

Sancho's absence from the first team followed his outburst on social media after he was dropped from the squad against Arsenal in September.

He wrote on X, formerly Twitter: 'I have conducted myself in training very well this week' and 'I've been a scapegoat for a long time, which isn't fair!'

Court Finds Medical Director Guilty Of Rape

In a significant legal development, the Lagos State Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court in Ikeja has given a life imprisonment sentence to Doctor Olufemi Olaleye, the Optimal Cancer Care Foundation Medical Director. The verdict was delivered on Tuesday after he was found guilty of defiling his wife's niece, a 15-year-old girl.

Justice Rahman Oshodi delivered the sentence, citing the prosecution's successful demonstration of the defendant's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. The judge emphasised that all the evidence presented in court corroborated the victim's testimony.

Olaleye faced two charges, including defilement and sexual assault by penetration of his wife's niece, as levied against him by the Lagos State Government. The charges were brought against him on November 30, 2022, to which he initially pleaded not guilty.

The Director of Public Prosecutions, Dr Babajide Martins, informed the court that Olaleye had committed these crimes between February 2020 and November 2021 at their residence in Maryland, Lagos state. The defendant was accused of engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse with his wife's 15-year-old niece and sexually assaulting her by penetrating her mouth with his penis. These actions violated Sections 137 and 261 of the criminal law of Lagos State 2015.

Upon entering his plea of not guilty, Justice Oshodi granted Olaleye bail of N50 million, with two sureties of equivalent value, both of whom were required to possess real estate in Lagos state. Additionally, both sureties were obliged to furnish evidence of tax payments to the Lagos state government over the past three years. The judge also ordered Olaleye to surrender his international passport, including his British passport, and the original documents of his landed property to the court's registrar.

Throughout the trial, the defendant's wife, Aderemi Olaleye, testified, revealing that her husband had been engaging in sexual abuse against her niece during her stay with them. The court's decision is a significant step in the fight against sexual offenses and domestic violence in Lagos State.

October 24, 2023 Singer Dammy Krane Calls Out Davido Over Alleged Debt

Singer Dammy Krane Calls Out Davido Over Alleged Debt

Singer Oyindamola Emmanuel, popularly recognised as Dammy Krane, has once more asserted that David Adeleke, also known as Davido, owes him money and appears hesitant to settle the debt.

In an early morning post on X (formerly Twitter), Dammy Krane emphasised that Davido should settle the outstanding amount, highlighting his responsibility towards Dammy Krane's daughter.

In a message conveyed with some colloquial language, the singer stated, "I understand it can be challenging for affluent individuals to meet their financial obligations, but Davido, for the sake of my child, my brother, kindly reimburse me. Nigerian school fees are not a minor matter these days; everyone is striving to secure their future. We only seek what is rightfully ours, not any form of trouble."

He continued, recalling, "Also, let's not overlook, Davido, that you took Idowest from my record label. I chose to remain silent, considering you as a brother, and refrained from making any issues for the artist, as I had already done my part in assisting him. I sincerely wish to understand why you hesitated to compensate me for a song you publicly acknowledged I composed."

Notably, Dammy Krane publicly accused Davido in September 2022 of not reimbursing him for his songwriting contributions to a previously released track despite having privately communicated with the DMW boss.
