Fayemi Congratulates Tinubu On Winning At The Supreme Court

Dr. Kayode Fayemi, former governor of Ekiti State and Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his Supreme Court triumph, noting that the ruling was a display of the ideals of fairness and justice.

Fayemi claimed that the victory validated President Tinubu’s election victory, which was a testimonial to Nigerians’ faith in the APC and the president’s competence to steer the ship of state.

Fayemi said, “In celebrating the President’s victory, we must also be mindful of the need to avoid triumphalism,’’ he said, while acknowledging the importance of running an inclusive government and urged President Tinubu to embrace the spirit of inclusivity by reaching out to his political competitors and fostering an atmosphere of unity.”

In a democracy, Fayemi contended, the success of one political party should not be viewed as a defeat for others, but rather as an opportunity to collaborate for the greater welfare of the country. As a result, he urged the appellants to join the President in the difficult process of running Nigeria in order to avoid distractions. “All hands must be on deck at this moment.”

Pastor Files N20million Lawsuit Against Chef Dammy

Ekiti-born Chef Damilola Adeparusi, also known as Chef Dammy, faces a N20 million lawsuit from her pastor over recent public disputes and concerns about her safety.

This legal action stems from their public disagreements, which led Chef Dammy to express apprehensions about potential threats to her life.

Notably, Chef Dammy had previously disclosed certain details about the pastor, including his sponsorship of her Cook-a-Thon event, aimed at surpassing Hilda Baci's achievements. In a recent social media post, she raised safety concerns and cautioned that her pastor should be held accountable if harm would befall her.

In an unexpected turn of events, Prophet Jeremiah Adegoke, the founder of Spirit World Global Mission, initiated legal proceedings against Chef Dammy.

In a petition filed by his legal representatives, the pastor expressed his astonishment at what he perceived as a defamatory statement made by the chef. He has formally requested a retraction of the defamatory statement and is seeking compensation of twenty million naira (20,000,000) for damages.

Tinubu Welcomes Supreme Court Verdict, Seeks Support Of Nigerians

President Bola Tinubu expressed his appreciation for the Supreme Court's verdict, which upheld his victory in the February 25 Presidential Election.

In a personal statement titled 'It is time for us to build our great nation together,' President Tinubu solemnly accepted the judicial victory and promised to exceed expectations in delivering service to the Nigerian people in the remaining years of his administration.

The Supreme Court ruling dismissed the appeals by the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi. The seven-judge panel ruled that the opposition's appeals lacked merit, addressing claims of fraud, electoral law violations, and Tinubu's eligibility to run for president.

They also addressed issues related to qualification, compliance with the Electoral Act, the 25% vote in the FCT, and electoral malpractices.

President Tinubu welcomed the verdict, commending the diligence and professionalism of the judges. He emphasized his unshaken faith in Nigeria's judiciary and its commitment to upholding the rule of law. He noted that the verdict affirmed the All-Progressives Congress's mandate, which, in his view, demonstrates the will of the Nigerian people.

President Tinubu's statement reflects his determination to lead the nation through significant reforms and progress.
