Enugu Varsity Student With 5.0 CGPA Emerges VC For One-Day

A student of Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, Kaitlin Gee-Akwada, emerged as the one-day Vice Chancellor in her school as she attained a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 5.0.

The elated student took to her LinkedIn page to share pictures of the event on Wednesday.

According to Gee-Akwada, her achievement was an answered prayer and a proof of putting her faith to work.

She said, “Today, I was declared the Vice Chancellor for One Day in my university, Godfrey Okoye University, with a CGPA of 5.0. This is not only an answered prayer, but proof that the power to attract what you desire lies in your hands.

“About a year ago, I wrote a speech in commemoration of this auspicious occasion, before I even hit a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 5.0. I put my faith to work and took action.

“Even the Bible buttresses the importance of backing up your faith with work [ James 2:26].

“In the words of Amelia Earhart, ‘The most effective way to do it, is to do it.’ Aim higher. Break barriers. Reach for the stars. You got this!”

On the same day, the school via its official Facebook page also congratulated the stellar student.

The statement read, “Congratulations to Miss. Kaitlin Gee-Akwada GOUNI VC for one day with a 5.0 CGPA.

“The one-day VC arrived at the VC’s office at 7:57am to discharge her duties as Vice Chancellor.

“She was received by Staff of the VC’s office and the GOU Foreign Liaison Officer, Meggy Kantert.

“Miss. Akwada addressed the students and staff of the University during the Midday Prayer and later held a Senate meeting where she addressed the University Senate members. Miss Akwada played host to her mother and grandmother.”

Adeleye Rated Nigeria’s Best Keeper In Europe

Former U-20 goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye is Nigeria’s best shot stopper in Europe so far this season, according to statistics website Tranfermarkt.

The Nigerian has kept more clean sheets than any of his compatriots in Europe this season.

The in-form Hapoel Jerusalem goalkeeper has kept three clean sheets in seven games, conceding 11 goals so far this term – the best return so far among the Nigerian goalkeepers in Europe.

Lugano’s Sebastian Osigwe is the second-rated Nigerian goalkeeper in Europe as he has kept one clean sheet in six games this season, conceding six goals, while Eagles’ first choice Maduka Okoye is ranked third, having kept only one clean sheet for Sparta Rotterdam in 19 games this term.

Omonia Nicosia safe hands Francis Uzoho is fourth but is yet to keep a clean sheet this season. He has made one appearance and conceded three goals.

Meanwhile, Eagles goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu, has urged Adeleye not to take his foot off the burner in his quest to get a national team call-up, stating that the coaching staff are already keeping tabs on the young goalkeeper, whose impressive performances in the Israeli league have not gone unnoticed.

“We have heard a lot about him, but in honesty, we have resolved not to bring in new players considering the sensitivity of the qualifiers. We would only invite players we have been working with before,” Agu said.

“That does not imply that the door is closed to him and other good players, but I want to assure you that we have been keeping tabs on him and other players too. They will all have their chances, as long as they keep doing well with their clubs,” the former MVV Maastricht and Standard Liege goalie added.

Djibril Cisse: Messi Needs at PSG for Him to Start Scoring Goals

Djibril Cisse has urged Paris Saint-Germain fans that they will have to give Lionel Messi some time to adapt to life in France following his stunning move for Barcelona this summer.

The arrival of Lionel Messi this summer to Paris Saint-Germain was a big one for the club's fans considering the level of the Argentine and what he did at Barcelona before his departure.

There is no doubt about the fact that Lionel Messi is one of the best footballers on earth considering his records and goals he has scored as a forward.

However, things have not been rosy for the Argentine so far this season at Paris Saint-Germain as Lionel Messi has not been able to score any goal or assist in League games.

The Argentine has done well though in the Champions League netting three goals, but he is struggling in the League.

According to the report on Daily Mail, Djibril Cisse explained that the Argentine has for the past 20 years been playing and living in Spain and he needs time to adapt.

''Messi's problem, if we can speak of a problem, is that he's a human being. He has emotions. He has lifestyle habits. For more than twenty years, he was in his element, in Barcelona.

''And there, we take him, we put him in another environment and we say to him: 'Go ahead, perform.' But he changed his life. His family has changed their life. We must give him time to adapt, even if his name is Messi.
