Manchester City Star, Riyad Mahrez ‘Secretly Marries Taylor Ward In A Traditional Muslim Ceremony

Manchester City star, Riyad Mahrez and Taylor Ward have ‘secretly married’ months after he proposed with a £400,000 ring.

“The model, 23, and Manchester City footballer Riyad, 30, got married at a Muslim ceremony known as the Nikah and signed a contract to ensure they were legally married under Islamic law, The Sun reports.”

Fashionista Taylor, who is the daughter of Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Dawn Ward, said the Arabic word ‘qubool’, which translates as ‘I accept’, three times on the day.

Algeria-born Riyad and Taylor will have another ceremony in the UK to make their marriage legal in Britain, according to The Sun.

A source told the publication: ‘Riyad and Taylor are now legally married under Islamic law following their ceremony late last year.

‘For them as a couple it was important to follow the traditions of his religion.

The ceremony was short but sweet and has started them on their path to their second wedding which is very much going to be the main event. Taylor and Riyad are so excited and are very much in love.’

The pair announced their engagement on Instagram in July last year, with Riyad reportedly proposing with a £400,000 ring.

The couple marked their engagement with a white party in September, which was attended by friends and family.

The sportsman popped the question during the couple’s luxury summer trip to Mykonos with their family and friends.

Winger Riyad was previously married for six years to Rita Johal and shares two daughters with his ex-wife.

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has prayed for God to make him the next president of Nigerian.

Edochie has always shared his desire to run for the highest political position in the country.

In a post shared via his Instagram page on Friday, January 7, 2021, where he prayed to God to answer his prayers as he turned 40.

"Happy 40th birthday to me. Happy birthday to a man of peace and love. I thank God for letting me see this day in my life. I thank God for all his blessings. All the prayer points and wishes I had many years ago God has answered all of them and even more,'' he wrote.

"And I'm grateful to Him. I have just one more prayer point, one more birthday wish as I turn 40 today. Dear God, please make me the President of Nigeria in 2023 so I can wipe away the tears of my people. Thank you Lord for answering my prayer."

This is not the first time that the movie star will be announcing his plans to run for the office of the president of Nigeria. 

He later revealed that he was no longer going to be contesting for the office of the president.

Watford have signed Brazilian central defender Samir from Udinese on a deal until 2025.

Samir, 27, played 147 times in Serie A for Udinese, who he joined from Brazilian side Flamengo in 2016.

Samir is Watford's second signing of the January transfer window after left-back Hassane Kamara joined from Nice.

The Hornets have conducted several deals with Udinese in recent seasons as the club's owner Gino Pozzo is the son of Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo.

Watford have not disclosed a fee for Samir's arrival and the club are heavily linked with more potential January signings as they bid to improve their chance of Premier League survival.

Claudio Ranieri's side - 17th in the table and two points clear of the relegation zone - are linked with Besikas and Croatia defender Domagoj Vida, as well as Congolese midfielder Edo Kayembe, who plays for Belgian side KAS Eupen.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and Burnley boss Sean Dyche will miss their clubs' FA Cup third-round ties after testing positive for Covid-19.

City's 50-year-old Spanish boss and his assistant Juanma Lillo were both found to have the virus on Tuesday.

The pair are among 21 people at City isolating before the cup tie at Swindon Town on Friday.

Dyche will miss Saturday's home tie against Huddersfield as he isolates.

Neither Burnley nor Manchester City gave any indication that their cup games are at risk of being postponed because of the positive Covid cases.

Seven of City's first-team players are among the group of 21 isolating.

Assistant coach Rodolfo Borrell has been put in charge of the Premier League leaders' trip to the County Ground to face League Two side Swindon.

Meanwhile, Burnley have not suggested that an outbreak has affected the club.
