I Want To Return To YBNL – Lyta Begs Olamide

Nigerian singer Opeyemi Rahim, better known as Lyta, has openly expressed his desire to reunite with his former record label, YBNL Nation. Speaking on a recent podcast, Lyta clarified that his departure from YBNL was not intentional.

In his own words, he stated, "I want to be back with YBNL; what I did back then [leaving YBNL Nation] wasn’t intentional. I didn’t hear from Olamide before leaving, and after I left, he just locked up. But I’ve spoken to him since leaving. I chatted with him via Instagram on his birthday, and he responded."

Responding to whether Olamide is following him on Instagram, the 'Monalisa' singer revealed, "No. He is not following anybody on Instagram."

It's worth recalling that Lyta parted ways with YBNL Nation in 2019 after a disagreement with the label's founder, Olamide.

In a 2022 interview, Lyta shared that he left YBNL Nation because he had heard various things from friends and individuals in the industry. He admitted to feeling confused at the time, stating, "I didn’t know who or what to believe, and some people eventually got into my head."

Ondo Officials Signing Documents In Akeredolu’s Name – Lawyer Cries Out

Kayode Ajulo, a senior advocate of Nigeria, has alleged that certain officials within the Ondo State government are signing documents on behalf of the ailing state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

Ajulo made these assertions during an appearance on a monitored programme on Monday. He also pointed out that constitutionally, the deputy governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, cannot assume the responsibilities of the governor since there hasn't been a proper transfer of power. According to Ajulo, this situation has created an opportunity for influential individuals or plots to take control of the governance of the state.

In his words, “I have it on good authority as a lawyer. Some of the commissioners, approximately five of them, submitted memos to the governor, and upon their return, all received approvals. Upon comparing the approvals with what the governor had sanctioned when he was in good health, there are significant disparities between them."

He further explained that the Police and Administration of Justice Act allows private investigators to look into such matters, and their findings are reportedly quite incriminating. Ajulo suggested that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) might need to intervene by conducting inquiries in Ondo State.

He concluded by asserting that the alleged signatures on the documents do not match the governor's, making it evident that they are not authentic.

Oladips Was Dead For Three Days Before Coming Back To Life – Singer’s Aide

Abdulrasheed Opeyemi, the personal assistant to Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, has clarified his management's recent announcement of the rapper's death.

According to Abdulrasheed, Oladips was erroneously declared dead by his manager, and in reality, he had been in a critical condition for three days before making a recovery.

The news of Oladips' supposed demise circulated on November 14, stating that the 'Chache' crooner had succumbed to an illness he had been battling for two years. The management released a statement mourning his passing and requesting privacy for the family during this challenging period.

In an exclusive interview with Tope Alabi on Monday, Abdulrasheed, who works with Dipsciples Music, Oladips' label, shed light on the situation. He explained there was a miscommunication with the manager, who had access to Oladips' social media accounts. The misunderstanding led everyone to believe that Oladips had passed away, as he was not breathing for three days until he was revived.

Abdulrasheed expressed his inability to reach Oladips during this critical time. When questioned about the rapper's whereabouts during the three days, he clarified that Oladips was with his family.

Furthermore, Abdulrasheed disclosed that the manager responsible for the premature announcement has been dismissed from the music outfit. While not revealing the manager's identity, he assured Oladips he would address the issue personally.

It's worth noting that Oladips established his label, Dipsciples Music, in 2019 after parting ways with LRR/Edge Records, owned by Nigerian rapper Remilekun Safaru, popularly known as Reminisce.

I Don’t Want Money, Just Feature Me – Portable To Wizkid & Davido

Since bursting onto the mainstream scene, Portable has been a driving force for the inner city, using his music and attention-grabbing lifestyle to make waves.

The artist is again in the spotlight, with a special request for Nigerian megastars Wizkid and Davido.

In a video shared on his Instagram account, Portable responded to Wizkid's recent philanthropic gesture of giving rising Hype Man GOE 20 million naira. He reminded Nigerians that he was the one who initially urged Wizkid to extend his generosity to the streets. This claim is substantiated by Portable's appearance on the Honest Mind Podcast, where he called on Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy to show support for the grassroots.

Acknowledging Wizkid's response to his request by generously gifting Hypeman GOE, Portable has its appeal. In the video, he clarified that he isn't seeking monetary assistance from Wizkid; instead, he desires a verse from the megastar, believing it would translate into greater financial success for him. Similar expectations are directed at Davido, whom Portable asks for a life-changing verse.

Portable has been actively seeking his next major collaboration after having experienced mainstream success with the Olamide Baddo-assisted 'Zazzu Zeh' hit single. He has expressed his ambitions and requested collaborations with Afrobeat’s superstars, Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, and Asake. Despite not receiving a verse from any of these stars yet, Portable remains unwavering in his pursuit of a collaboration that could propel him further into the realm of superstardom.
