Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has announced a significant increase in his fees for features and appearances, stating that he now charges $10,000 (N8 million) for both services.
The 'Zazu' crooner, currently in the United Kingdom, made this revelation in a viral video circulating on social media.
In the video, Portable confidently declared, "2024 is my year. I have an update for you. Count yourself lucky if you've worked with me before. I now charge $10,000 for features and appearances. Be it an appearance in a music video or skit, it's $10,000. Even link-up [meet and greet] is $10,000. And a brand endorsement deal is also $10,000."
Portable emphasised his new pricing strategy and said he no longer wants to collaborate with "poor people." This bold announcement from the singer has stirred conversations among fans and industry observers as the artist asserts his value and sets a higher standard for his professional services in the music and entertainment industry.
