I’m Bigger Than The Headies, I Will Win A Grammy – Portable

In 2021, Portable burst onto the mainstream music scene, thanks to his collaboration with Olamide and Poco Lee on the hit single 'Zazzuh Zeh.' Since then, he has become a household name, not just for his music but also for his entertaining antics on social media.

Recently, Portable made waves on social media with his bold statement that he is greater than the prestigious Headies award and envisions winning a Grammy someday. This statement comes from his previous clash with the Headies organisation. In 2022, Portable was at odds with the Headies after being disqualified from the Rookie of the Year and Street Hop Song of the Year categories due to his threats against fellow nominees.

Since that incident, tensions between Portable and the Headies have remained high. His latest jab at the Headies coincided with the conclusion of the 2023 Headies award ceremony held in Atlanta, Georgia.

The 16th edition of the Headies didn't escape its usual dose of controversy, as the Best Female Artist award was notably not presented on stage. In light of all this, Portable reiterated his belief that he stands taller than any accolade from the Headies. He firmly asserted that his lack of a Headies award does not diminish his greatness. He drew parallels between himself and the late American rap legend 2Pac, who also never received a Grammy award but remains an icon in the music industry. Portable's message is clear: he is confident in his talent and potential, regardless of any award or recognition.
