Kaduna Seminarian’s Killing: Nigeria’s Insecurity Battle Continues


The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Daniel Okoh, has said the killing of a seminarian, Stephen Naman, in Kaduna shows Nigeria is yet to win the war against insecurity.

The CAN president, represented by CAN General Secretary Samson Fatokun, spoke at the second plenary meeting of the Catholic bishops’ Conference of Nigeria in Abuja.

On Thursday night, bandits invaded Kamantan and Sabon Kaura in the Zangon Kataf area of the state, killing two people.

Residents of the community reportedly killed one of the bandits. In retaliation, the bandits set fire to the parish where NAMAN was hiding, and the inferno consumed him.

Nigerians Want Changes To Happen Quickly, Says Abdulsalami

Former Head of State, Retired General Abdulsalalmi Abubakar, has told the current administration of President Bola Tinubu that Nigerians need to see quick changes in the economy.

Abdulsalami said this when the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, paid courtesy visits to him and another former head of state, General Ibrahim Babangida.

He congratulated the administration of President Bola Tinubu for clocking 100 days in office with a charge on Nigerians to join hands with the government to overcome the challenges of fuel subsidy and insecurity inherited from former President Muhammadu Buhari.
