National Power Supply Fully Restored

The Eko Electricity Distribution Company has officially announced the successful restoration of the power supply.

This comes after a widespread blackout across the country due to Nigeria’s electricity grid collapse early Thursday morning.

The grid failure occurred around 12:40 a.m. on September 14, 2023, resulting in a significant loss of power supply to distributors nationwide. Multiple sources within the power sector and electricity distribution companies confirmed this development.

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company Plc and the Eko Electricity Distribution Company issued a 'Notice of Total System Collapse' on Thursday. However, Eko Disco later confirmed, via a statement on X (formerly Twitter), that the national electricity grid has been repaired and the power supply has been fully restored.

The statement reassured customers, saying, "Dear valued customer, kindly be informed that power supply has been restored from the grid. Thank you for your patience.
