Rev Ajayi: Nigeria Will Overcome Economic Challenges

Founder of the Love of Christ Generation Church, C&S, Reverend Esther Ajayi, expressed optimism about Nigeria's future, despite current challenges. She described the nation's economic situation as temporary, stating, "I am confident that Nigeria will surely get there and our dear country shall be great again."

Speaking at a rally in Lagos to promote her upcoming event, "Celebrate The Comforter," Ajayi said, "Rome was not built in a day. Nigeria may be going through a lot at the moment, but we will definitely come out of it. The present situation confronting Nigeria is a process because we are still growing as a nation. I am confident that Nigeria will surely get there and our dear country shall be great again."

Addressing journalists at the rally, Ajayi explained that the inspiration behind the spiritual programme, scheduled for July 20, 2024, is to change the perception of the white garment church and to proclaim that they serve only Jesus Christ. She reassured attendees about security, saying, "There’s nothing to worry about security because if God is with you on a mission, the rest is history. I have met with the hierarchy of Nigeria’s security architecture, and there’s no cause for worry."

The Purpose of Marriage Isn’t to Make You Happy – ID Cabasa

Veteran music producer ID Cabasa has voiced his concern that society has lost sight of the true purpose of marriage. In a recent interview with the Echoo Room, he stressed that according to the Bible, marriage is not just about personal happiness or emotions.

He said, "If I explain this thing, I pray people won't misunderstand. This is what I practice... in the place of marriage, there is God, the man, the woman, and the kids. Even in the creation of marriage, the purpose of marriage has unfortunately been lost. People need to hear me very well so I won't be misquoted. I say that the purpose of marriage is not to give happiness or satisfy your feelings."

The producer went on to state that the primary purpose of marriage, according to biblical teachings, is to multiply. He believes that happiness and fulfillment should naturally follow when couples align with this purpose.

He added, "The purpose was established in the Bible, and I am using the Bible, which is that we should multiply and dominate the earth, and that was the purpose. Happiness and every other thing is supposed to come as a benefit to you for that purpose. So if you follow that purpose where God is the head and man is the head of the family, this means that the man reports to God and the woman."

Oba Elegushi Urges Police to Investigate Mohbad’s Untimely Death

His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Elegushi, the Elegushi, Kunsela III, of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom, Lagos, has called on the Police to investigate the circumstances surrounding the untimely death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as ‘Mohbad.’ Through his lawyer, Adepeju Omotayo, at the ongoing trial of James Adeshola and Awiye Azeez, Oba Elegushi expressed concern over the alleged cyberbullying and defamation he endured following Mohbad’s death.

Omotayo emphasized, “The traditional ruler is deeply committed to justice being pursued responsibly and within the confines of the law. She strongly affirmed that Kabiesi will not tolerate any attempts to tarnish his good name and reputation for personal gain.”

She also clarified that Oba Elegushi had no prior acquaintance with the late Aloba, his spouse, or any family member, hoping to end unwarranted accusations. Oba Elegushi reportedly expressed his heartfelt desire as a father and leader to uncover the truth behind Mohbad’s death during a meeting with Mr. Josiah Aloba, Mohbad’s father, at Zone 2 Headquarters of the Nigeria Police in Onikan.

Reports indicated Oba Elegushi’s compassionate intervention at the meeting, ensuring Mr. Aloba was not detained. He emphasized his interest in seeing justice served for Mohbad and his family rather than causing harm. The trial for the two accused individuals will reconvene on July 5, 2024, at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.
