Music star, Augustine Kelechi, alias Tekno was arrested on Tuesday by agents of the Lagos State Police Command for rupturing open respectability with outdoor advertising displaying semi-nude women.

The artist was questioned for a few hours at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Panti, Yaba before being conceded administrative bail on health issues.

Tekno experienced harsh critism a week ago after a versatile commercial showed insufficiently dressed young ladies moving enticingly in a transparent glass box on a truck while he sprayed cash on them along the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.

Despite the fact that the vocalist issued a public apology clarifying that it was anything but an advert however a scene in a video he was right now shooting, the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) suspended the promoting firm, Pro-Vision Media Systems Limited whose van was utilized.

Mike, Tasha, Omashola and Jeff were placed on possible eviction on Sunday and the percentage of votes proved Mike to be the one with the most amount of fans.   

From reactions on social media to giving him up to 33 percent votes, the businessman is currently in the lead. If Mike keeps this up, the happily married man might walk away with N60 million winning prize and cash.

Top Nigerian singer, Davido, has thanked American RnB singer, Chris Brown, who recently collaborated with him on a song.

The song titled, Blow My Mind has started achieving great feats as the video hit one million views in 12 hours.

The DMW boss in a recent post on Instagram, thanked Chris Brown for dancing in the rain for his music video.

Davido revealed that the video has now hit two million views on YouTube in 24 hours.  

British-born Nigerian writer, TADE THOMPSON has won the Arthur C Clarke award, the UK’s most prestigious prize for science fiction novels at a ceremony in Foyles bookshop in London.

THOMPSON’s novel, Rosewater, an alien invasion novel set in a future Africa, was submitted alongside 124 other novels, the highest number ever submitted for the prize, to emerge as the winner.

Rosewater bested five other books including including AHMED SAADAWI’s Frankenstein in Baghdad, SUE BURKE’s Semiosis, YOON HA LEE’s Revenant Gun, SIMON STÅLENHAG’s illustrated novel, The Electric State and ALIYA WHITELEY’s The Loosening Skin.

The award came with a trophy and the £2,019 prize.
