Samuel L. Jackson’s Voice Enlisted For Amazon’s Alexa.

Amazon has enlisted the voice of American actor legend, Samuel L. Jackson for its cloud-based digital assistant, Alexa.

 

Users of Alexa-enabled devices will now be able to interact with an AI version of the Hollywood star developed using the company’s neural text-to-speech technology.

 

Jackson’s voice will be the first celebrity voice option for Alexa. Amazon promises to add more celebrity guest voices in 2020.

 

Jackson is ranked as the highest all-time box office star with over $6.9 billion total US box office gross, an average of $87.5 million per film.

 

He is best known for his roles in blockbusters such as Django Unchained (2012), A Time To Kill (1996), Pulp Fiction (1994), The Hateful Eight (2015) and Unbreakable (2000).

Nick Carter gets restraining order against brother.

Backstreet Boy, Nick Carter has been granted a temporary restraining order against his younger brother, Aaron after alleging he threatened to kill Nick’s pregnant wife.

The singer said the legal move came “in light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behaviour”.

Aaron must now stay at least 100 feet away from Nick, his family and their Las Vegas home.

In response, Aaron Carter said he was “astounded” by the accusations.

Nick Carter, whose band had hits with such songs as “Everybody” and “I Want It That Way”, announced in May that he and wife, Lauren were expecting their second child.

Cult Musician Daniel Johnston Dies At 58.

DANIEL JOHNSTON, whose guileless, homemade recordings inspired dozens of musicians from KURT COBAIN to LANA DEL REY, has died at the age of 58.

 

A statement by the family of the songwriter and artist says he “passed away of natural causes” at his home in Texas.

 

He was mourned online by those he inspired, including musician, BECK and film star, ELIJAH WOOD, who called him “a gentle, beautiful treasure”.

 Producer, JACK ANTONOFF praised the way JOHNSTON had “shared fearlessly”.

 Born in California in 1961 and raised in West Virginia, JOHNSTON became known as a songwriter after moving to Austin, Texas.

 His reputation in the city grew after he started handing out cassette tapes of his no-frills home recordings to people in the street.

 A cult figure on the local music scene, he gained wider exposure when MTV filmed a programme on the Austin music scene in 1985 for its series, “The Cutting Edge”.

Asa To Release Her New Album, ‘Lucid’

Nigerian singer, Asa has announced her new album. It will be titled, ‘Lucid.’

 She made the announcement via her Instagram page, @asaofficial on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. The post came with the caption, “I have waited a long time to share this with you. My new album #LUCID out October 11. Preorder now; link in bio.”

 The album will be a follow-up to Bed of Stone which was released in 2014. To promote LUCID, she has released two singles, ‘The Beginning,’ and ‘Good Thing.’ For both songs, wonderful videos were shot.
