Nicki Minaj Enlists Drake And Lil Wayne On ‘Beam Me Up Scotty’ Mixtape Re-Release

Nicki Minaj has delivered the first-ever streaming release of her iconic 2009 mixtape ‘Beam Me Up Scotty.’

The rap superstar also included some new songs on the mixtape, including a track called “Seeing Green” featuring Drake and Lil Wayne.

During an Instagram Live session, she told her followers: “This is the 12-year anniversary of the Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape. Because this is the 12-year anniversary, we thought we would do something special.”

‘I have never ever in life put my mixtapes on streaming services, so what we’re doing tonight is we are putting Beam Me Up Scotty for the first time ever on streaming services,” she said.

In addition to the collab with Drake and Lil Wayne, the updated version of the mixtape features two other new tracks: ‘Fractions’ and ‘Crocodile Teeth (Remix)’ with Skillibeng.

The project was released on April 18, 2009, and marked Nicki’s third mixtape. It spanned 23 tracks, including ‘I Get Crazy,’ ‘Itty Bitty Piggy’ and the ‘Best I Ever Had’ remix and featured contributions from Drake, Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Busta Rhymes, Rihanna, and more.

Prior to the mixtape and new songs’ streaming release, Minaj revealed that a new album is “coming soon.”

Since releasing ‘Yikes’ last year, Minaj has featured on a number of tracks. In May, 2020, she hopped on Doja Cat’s ‘Say So’ remix (which earned Nicki Minaj her first No. 1 single). Since then, she’s appeared on 6ix9ine’s track ‘TROLLZ,’ A$AP Ferg and MadeinTYO’s ‘Move Ya Hips,’ Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Expensive,’ Mr Eazi and Major Lazer’s ‘Oh My Gawd’ and Mike WiLL Made-It’s ‘What That Speed Bout?!’

Minaj released her most recent studio album ‘Queen’ in 2018. Late last year, HBO announced a six-part documentary series about Nicki Minaj. A release date and title for the series have not yet been revealed.

Peruzzi- I Haven’t Gone To Church Since I Met Davido

Popular singer, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, also known as Peruzzi, has revealed that he has not gone to church since he met Davido even though he believes in God.

He said this when he featured on Joey Akan’s ‘Afrobeats Intelligence’ where he also spoke about his days as a keyboardist and chorister.

“I haven’t gone to church since I met David. I haven’t been to church in like four years. But yeah, I believe in God,” he said.

“I’ve always seen myself as a star before I met anybody in this industry, I used to act like ‘people are watching me.’ I didn’t have any drip, but I’d make sure that I’m not wearing any fake Gucci, I’m not wearing any fake Versace.

“I’m wearing a plain white shirt. I had my way that I’m going to be something. I didn’t know how, but I knew, ‘guy, I’m going to be something.’ I was already acting like I was. When David met me, I was branding myself already.

“He knew there was a wave. It’s been like that because I always felt like if you know you want to get somewhere, just start preparing yourself for it. [It] wasn’t really fake-fake, ’cause I didn’t rock no fake sh*t. But I faked being a star.”

The singer who said he doesn’t plan to remain a singer forever revealed that he sees himself settling down with his family in California in the next six years.

He said, “Like my mum used to say: ‘Even if you no know where you dey come from, no forget where you dey go. I feel like you can’t just be existing. You have to be living. In the sense that, you have to be about something.

“And me, I’ve always known where I want to be, I can tell you where I want to settle down; Malibu, California. I just want to be there smoking my weed in like six years from now with my wife and my two kids.

“I already know everything I want in this life. I know because I feel like you’re supposed to know. If not, why are you living? Why are you working? Why am I even singing? Am I singing because I want to be singing forever?

“I can’t be singing forever now. I’m singing because after singing, I have to do something. I have to be somewhere.

“I have to say ‘yes, this is what my life turned out to be.’ From going to primary school, going to high school, going to uni, it has to result in something. It would be no use for me living if I don’t have a destination.”

Peruzzi has been signed to Davido Music Worldwide since 2018 and has a new album titled ‘Rum and Boogie’.

Genevieve Nnaji Emphasizes On The Importance Of Prayer

Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji has said that prayer is very important as sometimes people's path to greatness is often altered by those who have derailed from theirs.

The actress, who shared this on Instagram today, said God set up all his children for greatness but most derail because of the kind of company they keep.

"Youth path to greatness is often altered by those who have derailed from theirs. They derail so far that they collide with you, forcing you off your trail. This is why prayer is key. Pray for the wisdom to recognise these obstacles as obstructions that they are to avoid going down with them." she wrote.

"In hindsight it pays to pray for others. That they may focus on themselves and remain on their path to greatness."

"Misery loves company. Those who dont want good for themselves wouldn't want good for you. "

"When we are on similar journeys to achieving our goals, our meetings would not be a collision. It would be destiny." she added.

You Can’t Get A Dime From Me, Yomi Fabiyi Replies Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, has reacted to the legal action taken against him by his colleague, Iyabo Ojo.

Ojo had, via her Instagram page, published a letter from her lawyers, demanding N100m as payment for damages caused by Fabiyi’s ‘defamatory publication’ during a protest held today.

Fabiyi staged a protest demanding the bail and release of Baba Ijesha who had been held by the police for allegedly molesting a minor.

In response to Ojo, Fabiyi, during an Instagram live session, said the actress cannot get a dime from him.

He further noted that Ojo cannot serve him a legal letter via social media.

Fabiyi said, “Where would I get N100m from? Which house do I have to sell? If you write N100m, once they bring all the people involved in the case, they would (by themselves) reduce the money to N10m. At the end of the day, they would still not get a dime from me.

“In the sense that if I refuse to collect the letter, you would keep pursuing me to collect it from you. After then, if I so wish to respond, I would only respond to whoever has a case with me.”

Ojo had demanded through her lawyers that within 14 days, Fabiyi “publishes a full retraction of the said defamatory publication on his Instagram handle for seven consecutive days and acknowledge that the allegations are false, misleading and entirely defamatory of client’s character.”

She added that the retraction and public apology must further be circulated and published by select media outlets.

The letter also demanded that Fabiyi “ceases and desists from making further, additional or fresh defamatory publications against our client on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and on any other social media, social messaging blog and/or print media outlets.

“Also, N100m must be paid as damages for the unjustifiable injury and losses occasioned by our client caused by your defamatory publication.”

Furthermore, they warned that failure to comply with the demands within 14 days would result in an initiation of legal proceedings without delay.
