DJ Switch Reacts To Lagos Panel Report Indicting The Nigerian Army

The panel described the killings as a massacre.

Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Switch has reacted to the report presented by the Lagos judicial panel of inquiry into the Lekki tollgate shooting of October 20, 2020.

DJ Switch claimed that at least 15 persons died in the Lekki Tollgate gun attack on peaceful protesters on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

In a tweet shared via her Twitter page on Monday, November 15, the activist slammed the government after it was indicted.

"Shattered so many lives, tried to destroy mine. Only for what you desperately tried to hide to be made public… by you! The truth needs no defense! #EndSARS," she tweeted.

DJ Switch was among the 100s of protesters that were shot at by security forces at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos.

It would be recalled that the celebrity disc jockey stream lived the shooting of innocent Nigerians by security operatives.

During her interview with CNN's Becky Andrson, she revealed how the government has openly bullied and attacked some of the protesters since the protest by seizing their international passports or illegally detaining them.

Falz Reacts To Lagos Panel Report Indicting Army In Lekki Shooting

The report has indicted the Nigerian Army and police over the killings at the Lekki toll gate.

Nigerian rapper and activist Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana has reacted to the report indicting the Nigeria Army and Police over the shooting that took place at the Lekki toll gate in 2020.

In a post shared via his Instagram Stories on Monday, November 15, 2021, the lawyer turned rapper said the government tried to make everyone doubt their sanity in the heat of the shootings.

“These animals legit made us doubt our sanity about the Lekki massacre you know. Panel don compile their report, we gather here,” he wrote.

Falz was one of the vocal celebrities when the #EndSars protest began.

In a chat with CNN’s Christiana Amanpour in 2020, the rapper gave a breakdown of how the protest started and what it meant for young Nigerians.

“Myself and another artist, Runtown, we had shared on our Twitter handles that we were going to do a walk, a peaceful protest against all forms of police brutality. We did that with the hashtag #EndSars. The hashtag was already in existence. It was a big thing on social media but nobody had gone to do it physically, so we decided to go a step further,” he said.

Amanpour asked the rapper if he wasn’t scared for his life after many other disgruntled young Nigerians refused to speak to the media on the crisis in the country.

“I’m not afraid for my life. I’m not afraid for my life because where we are right now, I can actually die from anything. I don’t even know where to start from, we have a nonexistent health care system, we have a seriously high level of poverty, there is unemployment and we are in a critical state because of how much corruption we’ve continued to see in the country,” he said.

The Lagos state judiciary panel on the Lekki toll gate shooting recently released its report.

According to the report, there was an attempt to cover up the incident of the 20th of October by the cleaning of the Lekki tollgate and the failure to preserve the scene ahead of the potential investigations.⁣
