2Face Idibia Defends Wife Annie Over Comments On Reality TV Show

The music icon says his wifes sincerity is one of the reasons he loves her.

Nigerian music icon 2Face Innocent Idibia has come to his wife Annie's defense following her recent outburst on the reality TV show, Young, Famous and African.

In a post shared via his Instagram Stories on Monday, March 21, 2022, the music star defended the mother of two of his daughters.

"I have never been a fan of this reality TV thingy but I must ask or rather point out the fact that whatever Annie felt she said, it was straight up to whoever," he wrote.

Annie had revealed during one of the episodes of the show that she has been subjected to many humiliations and embarrassment and would always question how 2face made the same mistake twice.

"When you meet someone, then you know them first and then you wake up to different people are having babies for him and then he has five different kids with other women, my first child is his fifth and I met him before everybody," she said.

"So you know what that is? You know how many humiliations and embarrassment and damn and I was like… man… How do you repeat the same mistake twice?"

Annie and 2Face got married in May 2012 and they have two daughters, Isabella and Olivia.

Original ‘Godzilla’ Star Akira Takarada Dead At 87

Veteran Japanese actor and voiceover artist, Akira Takarada, is dead.

Best known for his appearances in Godzilla films throughout the years, Takarada died at the age of 87.

Producers of the Godzilla series, Toho Studios, made the announcement on its verified Twitter page late Thursday.

The announcement read, “We are saddened to hear of the passing of Akira Takarada. May his memory continue to inspire the lives of many Godzilla fans.”

No cause or date of death was revealed in the announcement.

Takarada played the role of a sailor called Hideto Ogata in the 1954 original Godzilla film. He continued to star in other Godzilla film produced in 1956, 1964, 1992, and the lastest one in 2004.

He also featured in other movies such as Half Human, Romantic Daughters, A Rainbow Plays in My Heart, The Birth of Japan, etc.

The Japanese star was also a popular voice artist who played the lead character in Doctor Dolittle. He also voiced Jafar in the popular animation, Aladdin; and Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective.

Banky W Slams Lagos State Government Over Plans To Reopen Lekki Toll Gate

The music star says the government has disregarded the pains young Nigerians went through at that toll gate.

Nigerian music star Bankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W has slammed the Lagos State government over its plans to reopen the Lekki toll gate.

The singer made this known via his Twitter page on Thursday, March 17, 2022.

"The intended resumption of collections at the Lekki toll gate is yet another example of a serious lack of empathy by the Lagos State Govt. Life in Nigeria has been extremely difficult. All things being considered, the timing of this decision is just unfair," he tweeted.

According to the 'Lagos Party' singer, the state government has disregarded the pains young Nigerians felt during the killings that took place at the popular toll gate.

"Lagos State is exhibiting a blatant disregard - not just for the pain felt by all the young people who were hurt by the events of #EndSARS, but also the pain and difficulty being experienced by the majority of Lagosians just trying to survive in these difficult times," he added.

Banky's tweets are coming on the heels of the proposed opening of the toll gate.

According to the state commissioner for information, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) will open the toll gate for business on Friday, April 1, 2022, for business.

However, commuters will have access to the toll gate for free for two weeks.

The Lekki toll gate was one of the grounds used for the #EndSars protests across the country in 2020.

Several young Nigerians were killed at the toll gate after men of the Nigeria Army fired gunshots at them on Oct 20, 2020.

I’ve Waited So Long To Be 50, Says Actor Chidi Mokeme On Birthday

Nollywood actor, Chidi Mokeme, clocked 50 on Thursday and has expressed his joy on reaching the milestone.

Sharing a video of himself on his verified Instagram page, the former Gulder Ultimate Search host stated that he had waited so long to be 50 years.

He wished himself a happy birthday and hoped to share his dreams and enjoy what the year has for him.

Mokeme wrote, “Hello 50, I’ve waited a long time for this day. Nice to finally meet you.

“You don’t look anything like they say though. You look like 30, the one I met 20 years ago. Or is 50 the new 30? Of course, that’s the GRACE factor.

“Anyways let’s pop some bubbly, fill up our flutes and make a toast. We have some catching up to do, then I can share my dreams with you. I’m glad you could make it, so let’s start with Happy Birthday to me.

“You know the drill. We’re gonna have fun and enjoy our moments.”
