US Rapper Sean Diddy Jailed Ahead of Sex Crime Trial

US Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky has ordered that renowned American singer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs be held in jail pending his trial on federal sex trafficking charges.

Combs is facing serious federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. On Tuesday, the judge ruled that he be detained without bail following his not guilty plea.

The denial of bail came after a 14-page federal indictment accused Combs of using his extensive business empire to exploit, threaten, and traffic women to satisfy his sexual desires and protect his public image. Federal prosecutors allege that Combs, with assistance from associates in Combs Enterprise, operated a criminal enterprise involved in sex trafficking, arson, forced labor, and kidnapping, among other offenses.

Two of the three charges against Combs carry a maximum penalty of life in prison. Prosecutors have argued for his continued detention until trial. In contrast, his defense team has requested his release on a $50 million bond, with home detention and electronic monitoring.

BBNaija: Alleged Sexual Assault – Ben Threatens to Sue Handi, Wanni

Ben, an evicted Big Brother ‘No Loose Guard’ housemate, has threatened to take legal action against fellow housemates Wanni and Handi over alleged false accusations.

During his media rounds on Monday, Ben addressed the situation, recalling that Wanni had accused him of inappropriately touching her sister Handi's nipple while she was asleep.

In response, Ben stated that he has already informed his lawyer and management to take the necessary steps. He also revealed that he is waiting for footage from the show's organizers to support his case.

"I've informed my lawyer and manager about the matter," Ben said. "I've also requested the show organizers release the footage so I can press charges against Wanni and Handi for falsely accusing me. There are four cameras in that area, so there's no way something like that wouldn’t have been captured. I will press charges."

Tito Jackson, a member of the Jackson 5, has passed away at the age of 70, according to his family.

Tito Jackson, an original member of the Jackson Five pop group and brother of the late Michael Jackson, has died at the age of 70.*

An official cause of death is yet to be determined.

Tito performed in the iconic ensemble with brothers Jackie, Jermaine Marlon and Micheal, who died in 2009.

He was recently in Munich ahead of a performance that the group were due to give.

“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being,” his sons TJ, Taj and Taryll said in a statement posted on Instagram late Sunday.

The Jackson 5 included brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael. The family group, which was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997, produced several No. 1 hits in the 1970s including “ABC,” “I Want You Back” and “I’ll Be There.”

The Jackson 5 rose to fame with the help of their father, Joe Jackson, a steelworker and guitarist who supported his wife and their nine children in Gary, Indiana. As their music careers blossomed, the family moved to California.

Toriano Adaryll “Tito” Jackson, born on October 15, 1953, was the least prominent member of the group, primarily serving as a background singer and guitarist. His brothers pursued solo careers, with Michael Jackson achieving global stardom and becoming known as The King of Pop.

Michael Jackson passed away at the age of 50 on June 25, 2009.

In an interview with The Associated Press in December 2009, Tito Jackson reflected on his younger brother’s death, saying it brought the family closer together. “It definitely brought us a step closer to each other,” he shared, noting that the loss made them appreciate their love for one another even more, although he admitted he would never fully come to terms with it.

In 2014, Jackson said he and his brothers still felt Michael Jackson’s absence in their shows that continued with international tours. “I don’t think we will ever get used to performing without him. He’s dearly missed,” he said, noting that his spirit “is with us when we are performing. It gives us a lot of positive energy and puts a lot of smiles on our faces.”

Days before his death, Jackson posted a message on his Facebook page from Munich, Germany, on Sept. 11, where he visited a memorial to Michael Jackson with his brothers.

“Before our show in Munich, my brothers Jackie, Marlon, and I, visited the beautiful memorial dedicated to our beloved brother, Michael Jackson. We’re deeply grateful for this special place that honors not only his memory but also our shared legacy. Thank you for keeping his spirit alive,” he wrote.

Tito Jackson was the last of the nine Jackson siblings to release a solo project with his 2016 debut, “Tito Time.” He released a song in 2017, “One Way Street,” and in 2019 that he was working on a sophomore album.

Jackson said he purposely held back from pursuing a solo career, because he wanted to focus on raising his three sons: TJ, Taj and Taryll, who formed their own music group 3T. Jackson’s website offers a link to a single featuring 3T and Stevie Wonder titled, “Love One Another.”

Tito Jackson also is survived by his brothers Jermaine, Randy, Marlon and Jackie, his sisters Janet, Rebbie and La Toya and their mother, Katherine. Their father died in 2018.

Court Sentences Man To 40 Years For Beheading Gokada Nigeria Founder

A remorseless killer who beheaded his mentor after stealing nearly $400,000 to impress his French girlfriend told a Manhattan judge that he deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison.

According to the New York Post, Tyrese Haspil, convicted of the 2020 murder and decapitation of tech CEO Fahim Saleh in the Lower East Side, was sentenced to 40 years to life. In a dramatic courtroom moment, Haspil contradicted his attorney, who had argued for a lighter sentence, and told the judge that nothing less than life without parole would be appropriate.

The sentencing concluded a gruesome and bizarre case. Haspil, 25, was charged with second-degree murder for the July 13, 2020 killing inside Saleh’s $2.2 million East Houston Street apartment.

Fahim Saleh’s family delivered emotional victim impact statements in Manhattan Supreme Court, with Saleh’s sister, Rif Saleh, calling Haspil a “con man and a murderer” and declaring that he deserved to spend his life in prison. Saleh’s father, Ahmed Saleh, expressed disgust at Haspil’s defense, stating that the killer should remain behind bars for life.

Police revealed that Haspil had been Saleh’s executive assistant, handling his finances and personal matters, but had embezzled $400,000 from the tech entrepreneur, who founded Gokada, a Nigerian motorcycle ride-sharing company. Despite discovering the theft, Saleh chose to work out a repayment plan rather than report Haspil to the authorities. This decision ultimately cost him his life.

Investigators found that Haspil used a Taser to incapacitate Saleh in an elevator before fatally stabbing him. He later dismembered the body with an electric saw purchased with Saleh’s credit card and disposed of the remains in plastic bags. Surveillance footage allegedly captured him leaving the store after buying the saw.

At a previous court hearing, Haspil admitted he started working for Saleh in 2018 after falsifying his resume and being fired from a Long Island restaurant for stealing $20,000. He claimed the stolen money was used to maintain a luxurious lifestyle for his French girlfriend, Marine Chaveuz.

In June, Haspil was convicted of first- and second-degree murder, grand larceny, and burglary. His lawyer, Jim Roberts, argued that a lengthy prison sentence was unnecessary, describing Haspil as an “emerging adult” who was still developing at the time of the crime. However, prosecutors sought a sentence of 50 years to life, along with a restitution order for the $399,614 Haspil had stolen.
