Seun Kuti Criticizes Cryptocurrency Market After Sister’s Alleged N50M Loss

Musician Seun Kuti has fiercely criticized the cryptocurrency market, calling it a “scam” that takes advantage of vulnerable people. In a viral video, Kuti shared a personal story about his sister’s devastating financial loss in a cryptocurrency investment, revealing that she lost over N50 million.

Kuti accused cryptocurrency promoters of being “criminals” who exploit the poor and enable the transfer of wealth from the less fortunate to the wealthy. He described the system as a scheme designed to benefit the rich at the expense of the disadvantaged.

“Crypto is a lie. You people are criminals trying to steal from poor people. It’s just a wealth transfer from the poorest to the richest, like gambling,” Kuti said in the video. “You promote it, push it, but it’s all about shifting wealth into the pockets of the rich. There’s no freedom in crypto. More Africans have lost money than those who have made a profit.”

Kuti went on to explain how his sister lost a significant amount of money to crypto, despite his warnings. “I can’t even tell you how much I’ve lost—over ₦50 million. My sister, my own blood sister—this is how many Nigerians have lost millions,” he added.

Kuti’s remarks reflect growing concerns over the risks and unregulated nature of the cryptocurrency market, particularly in Nigeria, where many have fallen victim to investment schemes.

EeZeeTee Fires Back at Mercy Chinwo, Denies Allegations of Career Sabotage

Ezekiel Onyedikachi, popularly known as EeZeeTee and the CEO of EeZee Conceptz, has dismissed allegations made by gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, accusing her of spreading lies and attempting to destroy his record label through emotional blackmail.

In a video shared on multiple platforms, Chinwo claimed that EeZeeTee had threatened to ruin her career and subjected her to servitude during her time under his label.

Responding to the claims, EeZeeTee expressed disappointment, stating that no true child of God would attempt to destroy another with falsehoods.

“It’s heartbreaking that you would go to this extent to tarnish my reputation and the organization. You promised to destroy my credibility—well done. When you’re done, I hope you get a crown in heaven,” he said.

He further questioned the logic behind the accusations, arguing that his label would never sabotage its own investment.

“We don’t stop our artists from attending events because every time you go for a ministration and are blessed, we share in that blessing. Why would we work against ourselves? This narrative doesn’t add up,” he stated.

EeZeeTee emphasized the importance of peace and reconciliation, warning against harboring bitterness and resentment while claiming to do God’s work.

“I was privileged to provide the platform where you found expression. That cannot be discredited. But what does a child of God gain by seeing another fall?” he asked.

He also accused Chinwo of deception, calling her a skilled actress who had perfected the art of emotional manipulation.

“Keep acting, keep crying. People believe you because they pray with your songs, but the truth will always catch up with lies. This is an attack on the body of Christ, and only a foolish person would destroy what God has built.”

EeZeeTee concluded by reaffirming his faith, stating that he would not engage in a battle with someone trying to undermine his work, as he believed God would vindicate him.

Actress Olayinka Adebanjo Seeks Assistance to Conceive After Losing Only Child

Nollywood actress Olayinka Adebanjo has called on fans and well-wishers for help in her journey to become a mother again after the heartbreaking loss of her only son.

In a recent appearance on the Talk2B podcast, Adebanjo shared the tragic story of her son, Adeniyi Ishola, a 28-year-old nurse who passed away suddenly while playing football. The grieving mother expressed her deep desire to have another child of her own rather than adopt, and she is now seeking medical alternatives to aid her conception.

Adebanjo revealed that she had considered adoption, even visiting an adoption center in Abeokuta, but she is exploring other medical options as well.

The actress, who has been a prominent figure in Yoruba films since 1983, spoke emotionally about her experience. “I have seen a lot after the loss of my son. I’ve even been called barren in my old age,” she said. “My son, Adeniyi Ishola, went to study nursing and graduated. I was ready to enjoy the fruits of my labor when he went to play football and collapsed.”

She continued, “I went to an adoption center in Abeokuta and spent a lot of money. They advised me to take medical tests, and I have their receipts. Biola, please have mercy on me. I don’t want to be barren in my old age. I want to carry my own child, not someone else’s.”

In her heartfelt plea, she asked, “Nigerians, please help me. Whatever you can do for me, I beg you. I do not want to die suddenly. Talk2B, I am begging you to do whatever you can. Have mercy on me.”

During the podcast, the host, Biola Bayo, suggested surrogacy as a possible solution, estimating the cost at around N20 million. “I don’t know how we are going to help Aunty Yinka, but I want to advise surrogacy because of her age. All we need is resources. With N15 to N20 million, we can make this happen,” Bayo said.
